OT: Fire Joe Morgan Closing Shop?

The last post on the Fire Joe Morgan blog states that they're bring FJM to an abrupt end.  Personally, I've found their site to be hilarious and entertaining, and it will be missed.  If you too are FJM fans, feel free to post your condolences as well.

My thoughts:

FJM has been the best source (and maybe only?) for criticism of the establishment of hack sports journalism.  I'll miss the tearing apart of Joe Morgan chats on ESPN.com, and the dismantling of inane Bill Plashke articles.

There's a fanshot

about this that beat you by 5 minutes.

But anyway, I’ll miss FJM’s relentless snark and sarcasm. What else is the Internet for, after all?

No, my Crazy Crab bobblehead is not for sale.

too bad, great site.

when I first started reading FJM, I just could not stop laughing my ass off. I had to close the door to my office because I didn’t want my boss to hear me laughing so much…but I couldn’t stop reading either. I wasn’t surprised to hear that there were comedy writers amongst the bunch. I certainly won’t ever view sportswriters and announcers (or stats) the same way again.

They will be missed.

Bonds stands alone.

Was one of my favortie sites.

If you’re looking for another site that likes to make fun of bad sports writters and announcers, check out Awful Announcing. The writting isn’t really close to the FJM standards, but it’s still a pretty good site.
