Waikiki kept on scoring against Honululu in a seven inning game. The Sharks tried to come back with a four run inning but the eight runs the Beach Boys put on the board were too much.

Roger Kieschnick is drawing attention in the Beach Boys lineup, getting regular playing time and sitting near the top of the team's offensive production. Kieschnick had an RBI in the Beach Boys' four run fourth inning. Mitsuo Yoshikawa won his first start of the year despite faltering in the fifth inning. Yoshikawa retired the first two batetrs he faced in the inning then allowed three consecutive hits. Four runs were charged to his record.

This series continues Wednesday in Honululu.

SP Tobi Stoner (Mets) - 2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 4.50 ERA, W (1-0)

Scottsdale blew an early lead and lost their Arizona Fall League season opener 9-3. Ben Copeland scored in the second inning thanks to a Peoria error. Manny Burriss, batting in the leadoff spot for the Scorpions, doubled in the fifth inning and scored from second base. One of Alex Hinshaw's problems during the regular season came back to plague him in AFL play. Hinshaw walked two batters in his inning of work.

Peoria ran away with the game when they scored three runs against Robert Mosebach, who would take the loss in the game. The Saguaros blew it wide open in the ninth inning with a four run rally. Cole Armstrong hit a three run double, putting the game out of reach.

These two teams match up again Wednesday afternoon in Peoria.

It’s kind of cool to see Roger K. in the box scores instead of having to wait a whole year for his debut. I think Hawaii is a tough hitting environment.

damnit what year is it? 2007 or 08?

Isn’t weird that we get excited about Frandsen because he is such a Gamer, but we generally hate on Aaron Rowand for the same reason…funny the difference 60 million can make.

Alright, something we agree on! Go Kevin!

Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home.

I feel like having a big leaguer named Roger would just bring back Humm Baby swagger nostalgia, which would of course lead to the playoffs at least.

I support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.
