Open Playoffs Thread, 10/6
Is anyone else pretending that the Giants actually moved to Tampa in 1993 and are still in the playoffs, or is that just me?

Does that mean we get Evan Longoria, Scott Kazmir, BJ Upton, and still get to keep the Giants in SF?

So we were actually deprived of the greatness that was Todd Benzinger?

All those Direct TV commercials. His stint as Mr. Incredible is holding me back though.

You must not be watching the Directv commercial that uses Poltergeist.
Too bad they couldn’t make the creepy girl do the talking. Of course, she’s dead, so that may be hard. Or maybe that would be extra creepy.

I’m pretty sure I could watch Frank Caliendo do his Al Pacino for seven hours straight before getting tired of it. Sorry. I must be that guy.

Most of his impressions are alright, but cramming them down our throats during every commercial break wears a bit thin.

The only good one he does is John Madden. The rest are either crappy or “eh”.

really?
as much as you may not like the guy, his George Bush is completely spot on. I’d say it’s even better than Will Ferrell’s

His Charles Barkley is impressive, too.
Really, I’ve got nothing against the guy, I’m just not going to watch his show.
Now, Dane Cook, that’s another matter.

I'm with you, Grant
The show will get old after a while, but his main ones (Bush, Madden, Pacino, DeNiro, Barkley) are pretty funny for the time being.

OT - Cheerwine
At long last, I tracked down some Cheerwine locally. I bought two bottles (one for me, one for the fella). There was a lady ahead of me at the register at BevMo buying a few bottles; in fact, the guy manning the wine tasting table in the back (yes, I stopped off there first. Don’t judge me!) told me that there’s a devoted local following, and the store goes through its supply pretty quickly.
At any rate – I enjoyed it very much. I agree with whoever said “like Dr. Pepper, but better.” It had a good flavor and the smoothness of real sugar.
Next time I’m at BevMo, I’ll be loading up some more.
So to whoever first brought it up – thanks for the suggestion!

Grrrrrr. I am so disappointed in the Cubs for looking so lame against the Bums, and letting them go on to the next round. Very disappointed.

help. I am stranded in Utah. I signed up for MLB.tv only to have them tell me the whole country is blacked out. I have very few hairs left on my head. I called MLB again and they say TBS is streaming it on MLB.com. Well kinda. I have no commentary and it sounds like someone just threw a mic out on hte field. This really sucks.

1) Remove close and dance around your laptop nekkid
2) Discover that P2P broadcasts are your friend
3) Go to http://tvants.allp2ptv.org/index.php?t=Baseball&c=&&Cnt= and download the TVAnt software.
