Which reminds me of a pet peeve of mine: often, people say that Bush, while he owned the Rangers, traded Sammy Sosa to the Cubs. Putting aside the fact that GMs make trades, not owners, the Rangers never traded Sosa to the Cubs. They traded him to the White Sox, who traded him to the Cubs for an aging George Bell.

Someone posted something on this too, but I deleted it because it is a pretty touchy political issue. Just to let you know in case you wonder why this is gone in 10 minutes or so.
It’s not our politics, it’s Jeff Kent’s politics, that should be fair game. If he were donating to No on 8 I’d consider voting yes.
Not saying I’d do it. But I’d have to think about it.

Why hasn’t this post been deleted then? It seems implicit to me from the original posters tone and word usage that they are implying, “Jeff Kent is an idiot because he supports [insert controversial issue].”

Unexpectedly, I don’t think that anybody, even the original poster, has said anything here that is really political at all. Well, except wilriv, but even that was very quickly self-policed. I think that the FanShot hasn’t been deleted because we’re actually doing a pretty good job of keeping things reigned in here.

People voted no. Twice. Mayor went and said who cares. Four judges agreed. Should have sent through court system to overturn as unconstitutional rather than change on their own.
