This is the team that dumped Johnny Damon and traded Jermaine Dye for Neifi Perez. Do you REALLY have to as what they’re doing? Duh, it’s the ROYALS.

How does this make any sense for the Royals? They have two up-and-coming 1B in Ryan Shealy and Kala Ka’aihue (ROTY and MVP for me in Baseball Mogul!), and now they’re blocked.

Hmmm…. in my game, Shealy had two average seasons starting and nine below average seasons, mostly as a backup, in an 11 year major league career.
And Ka’aihue has a career .233/.325/.397 line in 1300 ABs over 10 years as a backup.

I almost wonder if he has a second move line up. There was an interview were he floated the idea of Gordon seeing time at first base as well.

IMO the biggest bullet we dodged happened when wilson developed into a legit closer. i have a truly sinking feeling that otherwise we would’ve been the idiotic team shelling out tens of millions for k-rod.
