BA - Luis Mateo released from contract
Baseball America reports that the Giants voided the contract of Luis Mateo because of bone chips in his elbow.

I thought this guy was a nice addition to our prospect stocks, but if he has bone chips in his elbow thats not good and the money offered is too high for that kind of risk.
