McAwards Voting: Best Fanpost
Next up is supposed to be Most Spirited Poster, but I think we can all agree that tk has that one sewn up. Congrats, tk!
Instead we'll move onto the Best Fanposts category. There have a been a lot of great Fanposts (formerly known as Diaries) this year, but these are the ones that have been particularly memorable. I think what I'll do is take the top three winners and stick them in the wiki or FAQ somewhere. I'll figured that part out later.
Here are links to the Fanposts, so you can check 'em out again:
So when do we get real and admit Cain might not be it?

Oh man
I had forgotten about the Barry Zito and the Darkest of Secrets post. That one was one of my favorites, but the Rohlinger one was just so much fun.
Giants! Giants! HELP US GOD!
Rohlinger called up...
…will probably win. But I’m just stoked my Sabes on a Plane Fanpost was nominated. This may be the greatest accomplishment of my lifetime.
BUY BUY BUY!
Is that the UK office gif?
Rohlinger thread, even though i wasnt involved :(
I see the future, and it is Pablo
So you're saying my posting about
The Great Green Arkleseizure doesnt cut mustard?
Down in Front Meat!
thehavenot, and it's not even close
The Rohlinger post was epic and informative, and would get my vote in any other year. But, the mere fact that thehavenot could take his own personal tragedy concerning his big toe and and use it as a metaphor for the state of our San Francisco Giants is, well, remarkable. I thought I was a hardcore Giants fan, but I can’t imagine having both the fortitude and the insight to make that kind of connection – and this despite whatever presumed medications he may or may not have been influenced by.
I salute you, sir.
Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home.
I wasted a whole work day on that Rohlinger fanpost. It gets my vote.

I got real and admitted that the Matt Cain McC Meme thread might be it.
Trent Kline: Decentish. Also, my website is called ChatterBalks Dot Com. It's not being updated right now. Hope for more at your own risk.
Hard to decide...
Some of the posts are cool in and of themselves, while
others win me over by the comments they generate.
And if I remember correctly, the Rohlinger thread has
Tom Waits and Rush content—that doesnt happen
often.
They say some players get out of bed hitting; Pablo Sandoval doesn't wait that long
The "living in Zito's house" one
for the cool story and bonus retelling of the Zito at Denny’s story.
Also, it had 37 recs!

My choice also...
…although it was a tough call between that one and thehavenot’s toe.
Scott McClain: Great story, no place on the 2009 Giants.
I was rereading the “Matt Cain might not be it” thread and my first comment confused me at first. I had no idea what I was talking about. Then I finally got my own joke…
I suppose that means many other people were also confused by it.
Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
Also
I feel I should get some sort of award for being the last post on that thread.
Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
I would vote for the Rohlinger thread
but I’m annoyed that I had nothing to do with it.
Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
After reading the Rohlinger thread
I wish I could take my vote for the Cain thread away and give it to the Rohlinger one.

“My Toe: a metaphor for Rich Aurilia”
That’s fucking hilarious.
By I voted for the Rohlinger thread. It’s the only one I was active in (I also wasted nearly a whole day at work)….and after re-reading it…this poll was my idea!

So the Beat LA Rally Thread wins.
I support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.
But I want a poll!
OK, maybe not. Thank you guys and gals. :)
Still-proud, adoptive mama of Notgardo Alfonzo, who's back from the 50-game purgatory. He promises never to do it again. I couldn't get him to promise to hit, though. We're working on that with bribes of M&Ms, kind of like potty training.
