The Seattle Mariners feast upon the turkey leg of fail!

Remember how many ESPN guys thought they would be good?

The Denker bus is now bound for San Diego. Those who were passengers on it are now angrily stranded at a gas station in Modesto, CA. Not much about baseball here .

BUT THEY WON 88 GAMES LAST YEAR!!!!11

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

It’s an interesting article, but it would be more informative to look include the same figure over multiple years. One of the major reasons Tampa Bay was able to field such a good and inexpensive team was that they have fielded such an awful team for so long, and consequently gotten top draft picks year after year. So over many years, their wins/payroll ratio would be much lower.

Nice thought.

All things begin small if they have any chance of ending well.
