PrintTo kick off the voting, here are the nominees for the Outstanding Newcomer award. Although there were many new people who popped up in McC this year, these guys are the ones who made the greatest impact on our community. Or at least, they were the only ones we could remember that are new. Let's get voting-ical!

I only added people who joined the site in 08. Thus folks like delorean and Lars weren’t included even though they were nominated.
Technicality! Lars must have been sneaky quiet in ‘07 because I don’t remember him.
Though, my memory does suck.

Again and again, xanthan is using negative attacks to put down his opponents. This is the dirtiest campaign in McCovey Chronicles history. Please, don’t be swayed by the old politics. Vote on the issues.

I know I’m way late on this but it would seem to make sense that people who joined the site after the last awards were given out should be eligible for Outstanding Newcomer. Not that I care so much but I know Lars is pretty bummed about not being eligible.

If your art isn’t as good as Larson’s, you know you probably should have tried harder.
I am by no means any type of an artist. Everything I do just looks like stick drawings. I do not think that an attempt by me would come close to the level of Larson’s art :-)

After reviewing the latest polls
My fellow McCoven,
I have decided to pull out of the race. I thank my supporters for their um… support… and urge them to back the FairweatherFan for Outstanding Newcomer ticket. I feel that his superior track record of 6090 comments since March 17th is more than enough qualify him as outstanding. While can of corn is an entertaining poster, I do not believe that 2867 comments since April 30 is enough experience to lead this great community. I urge you my friends, vote FairweatherFan ’08!
