West Oahu rallied in the eighth inning to break a 5-5 tie. The CaneFires scored three runs in the eighth and one in the ninth to win the game and remain undefeated. Waikiki took control of the game early, leading West Oahu 4-1 through the fifth inning. Roger Kieschnick is hitting well for the Beach Boys. Here he connected for his first home run of his professional career, and he put Waikiki ahead with the two RBI hit. Marquez Smith of the Cubs homered in the sixth inning, a solo shot to keep the Boys ahead.
Then the bullpen and defense fell apart. Steve Edlefsen couldn't record an out in his appearance, allowing two runs in the seventh inning. Edlefsen hit the first batter he saw, then threw a wild pitch and walked the next batter. Edlefsen allowed a single and eventually walked Brian Friday with the bases loaded to tie the game. Cincinnati's Phillipe-Alexandre Valiquette blew the game when he allowed three runs in the eighth inning.
The Beach Boys made two errors in the ninth inning. Buster Posey has not had an easy time behind the plate so far in HWB. Posey had three passed balls in this game, and two of the mistakes lead to scoring chances for the CaneFires.
These teams face off in the finale of their three game series tonight.

Yeah Gerald’s D isn’t working so well at the moment.

Gerald for shortstop!
I still say it’s a possibility…or should be.

He’s only got one hand.
Travis Denker can hit a little. That's why I drive his bus. Not much about baseball here .

cuz he's a SS
duh.
Seriously, though, might the Giants be better off playing him @ SS and Pablo at C? I know this is all way in the future, after they’ve worked Nate into 3rd base, but it’s worth considering…
STEVE HOLM! refuses to be the odd man out.

清原 大貴 >_< Not entirely surprised though as he’s basically straight out of Koushien.
Still in despair.
BRING BACK MARMOL!
2008 Season in Summary: We haven't had a twenty-first baseman all year. How did that happen? Silly. It's almos.

Trying to get at least one of the NPB dudes in the winter lines because I know needs like you and I will care about them.

wild pitches also
if Posey ends up at 3B, and hitting like one, or at 2B, and Pablo behind the plate, we could tolerate that. I could anyway.

Si
Whatever is best for the team. The versatility of both Pablito and Posey should make for an interesting roster. Posey could end up being the next Biggio.

Craig Biggio is an acceptable career path for Posey.

eh
If Posey can’t stick at C, than Pablo surely won’t. There’s already plenty of whispers that the Giants don’t think he can stick there.
