When this project was being thrown around I was thinking of Jason Isaacs as Beane. Oh well.

I was thinking maybe Kevin Spacey, but Isaacs sounds good too. Not so sure about Brad Pitt though.

I wonder how they’ll dramatize the part where Beane said Zito was better than Ben Sheets, or that Prince Fielder was the only player too fat to be drafted by the A’s?
Seriously, in terms of books to make into movies, Moneyball isn’t one that leaps to mind.

It really doesn’t make sense to me. I mean, they could work with the chapters on Chad Bradford and Scott Hatteberg, because I found those to be great storytelling. And even some of the stuff with Beane as a ballplayer.
But hey, they’re also releasing a film version of He’s Just Not That Into You and then there was Fast Food Nation a few years back…

Youkilis, as much as he’s pissing me off this series against the Rays, is a good story as well. Regardless, this is almost guaranteed to be a shitty movie.
