Restaurants Around the Ballpark
Do any of you go to any restaurants around the ballpark before or after games? If so, what are your favorites? I personally, save up my appetite for a brat, peanuts, and a coke...with a malt in the later innings. I will say that I like going to restaurants around the ballparks when there isn't a game going on. My favorites are Mo-Mo's, Townsend, and ACME Chophouse.
So...let's hear it.

The bar at Momo’s is exceedingly lackluster, but I’ve heard that the food is pretty good.
21st Amendment is also quite good.

Great burgers and very good beer the three or four times I’ve been there.

they have breakfast on the weekends before day games, and if you work in the City it’s a great spot to swing into for a snack and a couple beers before the game. excellent, fresh food and very reasonably priced. did I mention they have $3 anchor steams?
it looks like a hole in the wall – but as the name suggests, it is the weather-protected PATIO out back – don’t judge a book by the small storefront.
oh – it’s a secret too. keep it under yer hat.

The best was getting kick ass seats in the front row, right next to the owners’ and whipping out a Primo jerk chicken sandwich with fries… they were looking at me like ‘who let that guy in here?’. Although I usually get one and sit out by the marina to enjoy my pre-game festivities…
Also, South Beach Cafe has real pizza – with Italian guys, poor english and soccer on the TV… it’s a bit around the corner on the Embarcadero.

Isn't the Chophouse ridiculously expensive?
Usually I either hit up Amicis or the grilled hot dogs from the stand around the left field corner.

It is, and I think the food is overrated.

I like the fact they sell bootleg orange and black San Francisco wear out of their window during gamedays.
You know, the kind they sell in an obscure country like Romania.

I used to work 2 blocks from the ballpark, so I’m pretty familiar with the restaurant landscape. I like:
Victor’s
Koh Samui
Brickhouse
Delancey Street
Hi Dive
Mexico au Parc
Butler and the Chef
Coco 500
Hotel Utah
I could go all day, basically…

Mexico au Parc is a must for lunch, as is Cafe Centro.
There’s also that deli on Brannan & Embarcadero that’s nice on sunny days. Oh, and the other Delancey Street establishment… name of… Crossroads! Also, there’s a decent Chinese place on the same alley as Crossroads, no idea what the name is, but it’s decent.
Oh, Bill’s Kitchen & Teriyaki is a hidden “gem” on 3rd St. It’s actually pretty gross, but pretty awesome. :D

Thanks for the tips
I went to the deli on Brannan & Embarcadero today and my sandwich was pretty solid. Plus the weather today was perfect for sitting outside.

Good times!
A lot of my coworkers enjoy the Brannan deli (closer to 2nd), but i wasn’t a fan. There’s also Hennessey’s for extremely overpriced sandwiches.
I did like Delicia, too, which is kind of hidden away @ 501 2nd St

I used to work down thataway too
And didn’t eat at half the places you listed! Typically, I’d just walk somewhere to get lunch for around $5, take it back to eat at my desk and surf the web. I killed a LOT of time on this one website called McCovey Chronicles during my lunch breaks. And also before/after my lunch breaks.
Pepitos Mexico Au Parc was a favorite of mine, and part of my regular rotation.

Delancey Street
The Delancey Street Cafe is a few blocks from the park, but it’s right on the Embarcadero with a good view. The food can be a little eclectic, but it seems to me to be a very nice bargain for its reasonable price.
I liked Amici’s, but my friend didn’t. The Chophouse was good, but more than I really wanted to spend. I found out later that my friend didn’t order vegetables not because she didn’t want them, but because she didn’t want to spend the money — even though I was paying!
What is the name of the restaurant that is around the corner from Stub Hub, on that interesting little circle? I haven’t eaten there, but I’ve heard it’s good.
To be honest, though, my favorite is to put some stakes on the barbi and watch the game on TV. The parking is free, I waste no time driving, I have the best seats in the house, and I can watch instant replay any time I want. The food is a lot better than ball park food, and it’s a whole lot cheaper too. :)

There are a few restaurants on South Park (by StubHub) — Butler & the Chef (french-style bistro), Caffe Centro, South Park Cafe, and Mexico au Parc. I recommend all of em.
