Buster found

Perhaps many of you know this already, but I just saw it posted on MLB.com on the Giants team site.

Buster has been sent back to Arizona so he can get more regular playing time in the instructional league.  He had been playing only every third day or so since there is a rotation of three starting catchers in the Hawaiian Winter Ball league.

Also in Arizona are Villalona and 16 year old Dominican signee Rafael Rodriguez.

Knowing Buster is not busted is a huge relief.  And it also shows the Giants are serious about his development, preferring he gets regular playing time and instruction rather than a more limited, though more "prestigious" gig in Hawaii.

Good for the Giants. They were pissed off by his lack of playing time just like we were. If you’re in Hawaii and not playing everyday, you’re going to show up for spring training looking like Jerome Williams.

/A’s joke

There amass been plenty of articles written this spring about the stud shortstop Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum , as well as the fluid young outfielders and thirteen basemen Kevin Frandsen.

Good to see the Giants actively concerned about Buster's development

Also, good to see my boy Rafael Rodriguez around.

The Answer guy from ESPN...

who graduated from some MLB scouting program said Buster Posey looked completely average in every way. In his opinion, Castro of the Stros looked better.

Not saying that means much, just sayin’

I always wonder about those ESPN "scout" guys.

If people really thought their scouting was so great wouldn’t they be working for a team and not ESPN?

ESPN probably pays better. So does Wendy’s.

ESPN is becoming an entity that kills almost everything that it touches…Scouts Inc., the NFL Draft, Monday Night Football, Football analysis as a whole, whatever Rick Reilly muses, just about whatever is on Matt Berry’s mind, etc. The only thing that it really excels at is college football and basketball. Since they both aren’t pro…or at least run by known multi-millionaires clearly lying or going through Alzheimer’s in a press conference, they don’t get the face or air time the super wonderful professionals do who now need a 24/7 news cycle.

To be fair, Rick Reilly’s dumbassity started long before he got to ESPN.

He just happened to fit in well with the ESPN brand of asshattery.

I’ve been wondering if I should have gone with douchetasticness instead of dumbassity.

I consider that to be a missed opportunity.

Edwin Jackson and Reid Brignac

for?? What do the Rays need? They have starting pitching depth. They have infield depth. Possibly an OF or some relief help.

What could SF offer for Jackson and Brignac?

I am guessing this is for another thread.

BARON

Any info on Busty Poser?

Note..I first typo’d the title BARNO and then BARION.

Now I regret taking on the name BaronVonCurrentEvents. Busty Poser would have been golden. Though I do like Barno.

BA reports

Baseball America reports that Buster was sent to Arizona to work on his catching skills (5 passed balls in Waikki) and will return to the HWB.
