Eric Brynes Available
Should the Giants and Brian Sabean consider this move? Brynes would be an awesome presence here in SF, he grew up here and everyone loves him. Although the injury bug has bitten him this season we will wait and see on how he will recover.

On a side note consider this as a trade option
Matt Cain for Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks

Yea..
I was glad that this had the required Matt Cain trade proposal in the post. Otherwise I would have had to delete it.

On second thought, I should have struckthrough (strikethroughed?) the last four words, not just the last two. Missed opportunity.

Eric Byrnes.
Because that Fred Lewis guy totally sucks.
"he walked 18; new league record! Struck out 18, another new league record! He also hit the sportswriter, the PA announcer, the bull mascot twice..."
seriously
what’s Fred’s GORP (grit over replacement player) rating anyway? We need more gamerosity, dammit!
Billy Hayes: His job is better than yours.
Zero
Black players aren’t allowed to be gritty.
Whites are gritty.
Blacks are showboat-y.
Latinos are fiery.
Asians are calculating.
This was all explained in the “Xenophobia and Baseball Analysis” handbook.
Neglectful father of David Quinowski
Sometimes I think Ozzie Guillen goes out of his way to embody that 3rd stereotype.
Travis Denker can hit a little. That's why I drive his bus. Not much about baseball here .
This reminds me of maybe the dumbest of all the dumb Joe Morgan quotes:
[During the WBC game between Japan and Cuba]
“I think the one thing that fans should notice is the contrast in styles of these two ball clubs. I mean, the Cubans are real emotional, they play with a lot of fire, there’s a lot going on. When you watch, you know, Japan play, they’re calculating, they’re more scientific, everything is calculated to make it work. And that’s why you see so many players trying to bunt, you know, and taking pitches, and doing so many other little things. They do all the little things, it’s kind of a science-like, to them. And, I think, the Cuban players show a little more fire, play with a little more emotion”.
Dude, you know you’re on TV, right?
..so allow me to present Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain as two sweet, sweet bottles of warming hooch.
Holy shit
They actually said that? I was at the games so I missed that unfortunate piece of idiocy.

This was hilarious, only part of the WBC I remember
Forgot it was JM, though. I kept hoping he would refer to the Japanese as “industrious”.
FIRE BRIAN SABEAN
Joe never uses that word.
His term is the much more precise “industrious-like.”
Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, other than Joe Morgan who said that
would have been fired the next day.
It’s why the FJM “quest” is so hilariously hopeless. Even open, flagrant racism isn’t enough to dislodge him.
Your 2008 Athletics: It's Nothing Personal.
Is it still racism
if the people involved are in different countries?

Ten years ago...
… some of the greatest bigotry smack was ever uttered.
In review:
Blacks are gifted in worship and celebration.
Whites are good at organization.
Hispanics were gifted in family structure, and can put 20-30 people in a home.
Asians are inventive and can turn a TV into a watch.
Indians are gifted in spirituality.
And don’t forget about homosexuality being a sin.
RIP, Reggie White. It’s not the sacks or the gridiron domination I’ll remember, it’s the fact I can turn a TV into a watch that I’ll never forget.
That’s great, because I need a new watch, and I totally have an extra TV just lying around.

Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
Hmm.
I might consider that trade if Fielder would consider pitching every five days to make up for the loss of Cain.
As for Byrnes: NEGATIVES: he plays a position the Giants have a lot of talent that is around the same level as Byrnes. Byrnes costs too much for what he gives to his team. Byrnes has horrible, goofy hair. Byrnes is annoying in most other ways as well.
POSITIVES: He falls down when he throws to the infield.
It appears that the negatives outweigh the positives, in this case.
Catcher are base running. Hitters are offense.
Your positive is actually a negative!
I HATE his little flip thing he does.

You should have to pass a test to register.
1. Do you think it is a good idea to post terrible trade ideas that have been posted a million times?
a. yes
b. no
c. I ate my pencil
2. Do you think it is a good idea to pick up OFers that are not that good when the Giants already have those positions filled with reasonably good players?
a. Yes
b. No
c. It is pokey in my tummy

Let's see...
1. a – yes. It’s always good to tread upon the same ground over and over agian, until such a time that
the subject of the multiple posts makes readers scream in pain, then drive knitting needles into
thier eyes.
2. a – yes. A team can never have enough outfielders. Boch can now set up a bench platoon between
Roberts and Byrnes.
I actually thought the best answers were C & C.
I am bad at tests.
I am Cameron Wood and this is my son and business partner CW Culberson.
Are you telling me
the correct answers weren’t C & C?
Greetings, Marklar! I am Marklar! This is Marklar.
You have to ask if the Brewers would be willing to make that deal.
And the answer is: HELL YES THEY WOULD! They would jump at it in a nanosecond.
Which should tell you something.
Greetings, Marklar! I am Marklar! This is Marklar.
I am actually not so sure about that.
I am Cameron Wood and this is my son and business partner CW Culberson.
If you were the Brewers GM
would you make that trade? I would, absolutely.
I have heard the Brewers are down on Weeks and are looking at options.
Plus, I look at the rotoundity of Fielder, and I have to think he going to be a player susceptiple to injury.
Greetings, Marklar! I am Marklar! This is Marklar.
I would probably ask for more than Cain.
We all like Cain and rightly so but if I am the Brewers’ GM I ask for another player, maybe even a top prospect, to sweeten the deal. Look, Cain is very good and could be great but, again, if I am the Brewers I cite the fact that Fielder was nearly MVP two years ago and is a threat to hit 50hr every year. I sure as shit don’t make the trade and ask questions later.
