Eric Brynes Available

Should the Giants and Brian Sabean consider this move?  Brynes would be an awesome presence here in SF, he grew up here and everyone loves him.  Although the injury bug has bitten him this season we will wait and see on how he will recover.

This reminds me of maybe the dumbest of all the dumb Joe Morgan quotes:

[During the WBC game between Japan and Cuba]

“I think the one thing that fans should notice is the contrast in styles of these two ball clubs. I mean, the Cubans are real emotional, they play with a lot of fire, there’s a lot going on. When you watch, you know, Japan play, they’re calculating, they’re more scientific, everything is calculated to make it work. And that’s why you see so many players trying to bunt, you know, and taking pitches, and doing so many other little things. They do all the little things, it’s kind of a science-like, to them. And, I think, the Cuban players show a little more fire, play with a little more emotion”.

Dude, you know you’re on TV, right?

..so allow me to present Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain as two sweet, sweet bottles of warming hooch.

In review:

Blacks are gifted in worship and celebration.
Whites are good at organization.

Hmm.

I might consider that trade if Fielder would consider pitching every five days to make up for the loss of Cain.

As for Byrnes: NEGATIVES: he plays a position the Giants have a lot of talent that is around the same level as Byrnes. Byrnes costs too much for what he gives to his team. Byrnes has horrible, goofy hair. Byrnes is annoying in most other ways as well.

POSITIVES: He falls down when he throws to the infield.

It appears that the negatives outweigh the positives, in this case.

You should have to pass a test to register.

1. Do you think it is a good idea to post terrible trade ideas that have been posted a million times?
     a. yes
     b. no
     c. I ate my pencil

2. Do you think it is a good idea to pick up OFers that are not that good when the Giants already have those positions filled with reasonably good players?
    a. Yes
    b. No
    c. It is pokey in my tummy

I am Cameron Wood and this is my son and business partner CW Culberson.

1. a – yes. It’s always good to tread upon the same ground over and over agian, until such a time that
the subject of the multiple posts makes readers scream in pain, then drive knitting needles into
          thier eyes.

2. a – yes. A team can never have enough outfielders. Boch can now set up a bench platoon between

If you were the Brewers GM

would you make that trade? I would, absolutely.

I have heard the Brewers are down on Weeks and are looking at options.

Plus, I look at the rotoundity of Fielder, and I have to think he going to be a player susceptiple to injury.

Greetings, Marklar! I am Marklar! This is Marklar.

by marklar on Oct 1, 2008 5:16 PM PDT up reply actions

I would probably ask for more than Cain.

We all like Cain and rightly so but if I am the Brewers’ GM I ask for another player, maybe even a top prospect, to sweeten the deal. Look, Cain is very good and could be great but, again, if I am the Brewers I cite the fact that Fielder was nearly MVP two years ago and is a threat to hit 50hr every year. I sure as shit don’t make the trade and ask questions later.
