Clemens, Pettite, Macnamee, and Radomski, as well as Chuck Knoblauch, were all asked to testify under oath to a Congressional committee on Jan. 16.

Ought to be interesting. I wonder if Clemens will forget how to speak English?

I believe the phrase "into my body" could have been edited to much greater comic effect. Other than that, all it's missing are small, amusing animations doing sideline work to entertain you when listening to Roger Clemens talk isn't entertaining enough, and it would have been a perfect video.

It would have sure been a lot of animating, though. A lot of animating ./into my body..

Much ado about nothing once again. The entire Mitchell report was a joke because it was entirely based on Balco and the testimony of a trainer and a clubhouse boy, and this hearing is entirely based on the Mitchell Report. All that money being spent and time being wasted on this garbage. It should be Congress that is put under oath by the baseball players and asked why they are killing far more people in a useless war than die from steroids. Any high school kid who dies from steroids because Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens use steroids probably is too stupid to live anyway.

Well, it's not always a topical anesthetic.

Though, from my scant knowledge of the stuff it seems like it's other uses tend to be IV uses, and treat pretty non-baseball related conditions and maladies. But on the other hand, I have a very limited understanding of pharmaceuticals.

I do know this, though. Lidocaine is a cousin chemical to Cocaine. Which means that either Roger Clemens did steroids, or he practically did crack! OMG!

On a re-read, I don't think my follow through there was extreme enough. While lidocaine is a cousin to cocaine, I don't want anybody to start thinking I'm seriously putting the two on the same level.

Aaaaand, checking wikipedia, it seems lidocaine is injected as a local anesthetic, sometimes combined with epinephrine. Go fig.

The fact that it is a local anesthetic is what I don't understand. I have never heard of a local anesthetic being injected into your butt unless it was your butt that hurt. Clemens said it was for painful knee joints or something like that. If his knee is sore why inject his butt?

Clemens has a fairly rare condition known in clinical circles as Kneebutt. He also has a similar condition known in clinical circles as Assface. The two conditions are speculated to be related.

In his press conference today Clemens claimed that the Lineicain was injected into his lower back to relieve back pain and allow him to workout or pitch. Clemens claimed that only the B-12 was actually injected into his rearend.

now he can say that he cannot provide any details as it may hurt his chances in court

In his press conference today Clemens and his lawyer claimed the Roger planed on testify fully and truthfully without seeking ammunity or any other limitation before Congress in 9 days.
