Meh. Good for him. Good for the Twins. Pretty inconsequential for us.

I think I'm one of the few who frankly couldn't care less that the guy's a Twin. Not because he wouldn't be a great Giant. Just because I don't see the point.

Edit or no, I don't think it would have mattered. I've tried editing polls on other SB sites I frequent, and though I've never had trouble changing Diary content, I've never been able to save any changes in the poll field without the help of an admin.

I don't think Liriano will have that long of a career. His mechanics just look like he's built for failure, and Tommy John will only offset it for a while IMO. Especially if he throws as many sliders as he was before, he won't be pitching for very long.

Then again, I'm not an expert on mechanics. I just don't think he'll ever be durable.

yeah, I'm kind of sick of hearing about Liriano too, but did everyone see him pitch with Minnesota when he was healthy?? He may have the best stuff I've ever seen. How could the Giants' organization see him throw like that and then trade him?? Do you think it's possible he got into PED's after he left the Giants?? If not, they had to literally be crazy.

I won't deny that my first thought upon hearing "My arm is totally recovered from Tommy John in, like, half the time it usually takes, guys!" was, Oh boy... he didn't, did he?

Yeah, its pretty weak of us to bitch and bitch about this trade when, at the time, not one person actually knew who he was. Its pretty obvious if they thought at all he could be 1/10th this good that they would have traded him. But with that thought, I will also say what the hell were you guys doing? You couldn't see this was the second coming of Cy Young? Dumbasses.
