Correia = the new Blownitez!?
It seems like every time he comes into a game late with the score tied or protecting a slim lead, Mr. Correia gives up the go ahead homer, or the critical walk or hit to help lose the game. He is now 1-6 and I would not be surprised if he gets to 10 losses this year. What is the record for most losses in a season by a late inning reliever? He has good stuff but ZERO command and is definitely a headcase. Can we PLEEEAAASE get rid of him get some draft picks or low level prospects? I cringe every time he comes in the game trying to hold the lead and usually bad things happen. He needs to go away along with all the oldies

And yeah, that was a truly pathetic performance by Correia. I've been defending him all year, but after that, against the BOTTOM of the Nationals order and Tony friggin' Batista, I'm pretty pissed off.

That said, he really does have a knack for blowing games.

You can do a pretty thorough job by beating him within a foot of his life.

Re: Correia = the new Blownitez!?
Last night at the game, when he came in, the group I was with got up from our seats and started walking around the park (which was suprisingly hard considering every Giants Dugout store was packed with people snatching up those "756: I was there" shirts.) There was a slight groan from the crowd when he gave up the go-ahead run.
I agree he has excellent stuff, but watching him is painful. Then again, this is what we get to watch for the next couple months. Right now the Giants need to see what they got, like Rajai's gun that actually did nail that guy at the plate (even with Pedro's glove slowing it down)

Re: Correia = the new Blownitez!?
I said this earlier in the year: Correia lacks focus. He has the stuff, but he may never have the mindset needed to be really successful.
