Face of the Franchise

ESPN is doing some retarded thing where it decides who the "face" of each franchise is. Normally I wouldn't care, but then I noticed that our very own Grant gets to choose!

So naturally I suggest that we in the McCoven use all the threats/bribery/blackmail/etc in our power to get some comedy injected into the proceedings.

Let's face it, there can only be one face of the Giants franchise:

Re: Face of the Franchise
I look forward to seeing Grant's choice, but in the meantime, I'm just so freaking relieved that I know who the most Now athletes are.
I'm a Giants fan because my dad realized at a very young age that the Phillies suck.

Actually, they asked me for my answer about two or three months ago. I chose Matt Morris. Should I not have done that?

really ink him to an extension now Pete.  In 7 years imagine how expensive it will be to resign the face of the franchise.

Re: Face of the Franchise
I was going to make a Matt Morris Baby Image joke that was going to make you all LOFL, but then Grant made his Morris joke and now mine would be only mildly amusing.

I mean, yours was a joke, right Grant? Right?

Re: Face of the Franchise
Assuming he wasn't, wasn't 3-4 months ago when Morris was actually "on top of the world" and performing way over his head?  It wouldn't have been that bad of a choice, at the time.

Tres awesome, but if Grant gets sucked into the brainless garbage disposal that is ESPN you know we might have to take him out back and shoot him.

another fucking retarded ESPN segment....
...that has nothing to do with actual SPORTS! Seriously, its time to turn off ESPN indefinitely until they get back to basics...games and sports that happen on the field/court. Fuck. The WNBA is better than this crap. Do they ever reject these ridiculous ideas? Who the fuck is in charge over there? Maybe that'll be the next gimmick.

In any event, Bonds's Franchise Face Quotient (FFQ) and Face of the Franchise Ratio (FFR), even adjusted for all-time, are both way higher than anyone else on the roster.

Congrats, Barry. You're the best there ever was in this game.

is it a nickname i nobody knows it?
the Giants section on FOTF says that the best nickname on the team is Omar's. His nickname is "Little O"

Did anyone know this?

Re: is it a nickname i nobody knows it?
Since "Hillensuck" and "Magellan" are no longer with the team, I'll go with "Special Agent" Jack Taschner.  I also like "Big Daddy" Cain.

I'm just saying.
It's a metaphor somehow.

Just to keep the debate as to whether I'm a complete moron up in the air...

Re: Gone but not forgotten.
Oh don't get me wrong. Just having some fun. Anyway, if it means anything I'm the moron who used an apostrophe in place of an l.

So we're probably even. You might even be coming out a little bit ahead because yours was a technicality that nobody pays attention to anyway, while mine was a dumb mistake that even a jerk could see.

just so we're clear
Yeah, sorry if it sounded mean. I was just making a joke that you didn't say "whether or not I'm a moron," so the debate you're describing only has the option of moron, and lacks the option of "not moron."

I really wasn't writing as a flame. I was just being grammar geeky. I guess it reads pretty ambiguously.

Our Expectationisticalism won't settle for less
Only the multidimensional multiphasic can go beyond mere suffixes and append syllables where plenty were already in attendance.
