The Padres signed Shea Hillenbrand and it looks like he'll be assigned to AAA Portland.

Suck for the Pads, Shea! We know you can do it. Give them hope that you can be adequate in the field and at the plate, then rip out their hearts with your suckiness.

I don't understand that move by Towers, honestly . . .

the only problem with this is that we gave up Accardo to get him, and the Padres were patient, won the division anyway last year, and now they got him for nothing. They will quickly find out that he stinks and it will be a no harm signing for them. Of course he will get at least three game winning hits against the Giants.

The risk of somebody on the team becoming infected with the "suck contagion" f which he's a carrier that the Giants are so clearly still suffering from since he spread it to our guys.

It's a terrible, terrible disease, and as we can see it will takes at least two to three more years before we've finally taken care of it.

Are the minors far enough away so that the virus doesn't reach the big team? Only the second half will show us!
