Bud Selig is smiling somewhere. All he has to deal with is PEDs. David Stern resides over huge integrity issues over his game while Roger Goodell has PETA barking at his door.

Innocent until proven guilty....piss off Bud.  He isn't Mike Vick and hasn't had shit for charges put up against him.

Innocent until proven guilty of what?  Last time I looked, and despite yours and the entire Federal Governments tax-payer sponsored 5 year witch hunt,  he hasn't even been charged with being late for the post-game spread. Innocent? Until proven guilty?  Why you presumptious, overbearing, little bag of fake hair follicles!  Who and What gives you the right to insinuate and imply criminal behavior in the greatest hitter in the modern era and arguably of all time? A book? The testimony of a vengeful, renegade IRS agent? A couple of twisted hacks from the Chronicle who find no problem in receiving stolen testimony and using it to finance their own personal agenda?

You of all people, who plotted the overthrow of Bart Giammetti's  esteemed successor, Faye Vincent in a secret clandestine meeting in the basement of  a Chicago hotel. You who, schemed and connived your way into the commissioners job for your own personal financial gain? You who presided over the first and only cancellation of the World Series in the 130 plus years of MLB--a feat not even Hitler, Hirihito, and Mussolini combined could accomplish.  You who went in front of Congress in 1994 and lied about expansion. You, who took in the same Sandy Alderson who helped institute the "21st Century" sports conditioning and medical treatment in the Oakland A's clubhouse of Canseco and Mcgwire, to usher in the so-called "steroid era". The same Sandy Alderson who you made your right hand man when he was done in Oakland? You who appointed George Mitchell, notorious player-hater, to be a "special investigative commissioner" to supposedly "restore the integrity" of the game. You who sat like a tree stump in your own taxpayer funded house of ill-repute and declared ASG a "tie", rather than  demand that "the show must go on."  ...home field advantage in the World Series indeed!  A more poignant example of baseball ignorance does not exist in this universe you hack!  It is those actions that somehow empowers you with the moral authority to pronounce someone whose jock you are not worthy to carry, "innocent until proven guility"?

Unbelievable arrogance. Infuriating condescension. An insult to anyone old enough to understand the difference between right and wrong. What a humiliating and derogatory thing to say in public.  Really jaw-dropping. This is the kind of shit I would only expect to hear from some sonorous pompous asshole on the floor of the US Senate. No wonder he is such good friends with George Mitchell.

Listened to Kruk on KNBR this morning...not only did he call Selig a "great" commisioner, but thought it was a "great" statement. He did criticize him slightly for making the statement now, instead of two months ago.

This is crazy talk...in what world could Selig be considered a great commissioner?
