I just wanted to share a little story of my loyalty with the McCoven. As noted earlier, I am a jetBlue flight attendant. As weird as it may seem, I am not gay. I enjoy manly things such as Giants baseball, fishing, donkey-punching my girlfriend, and beer. I just have a cool job that lets me travel around America for free.
On Saturday, I was working ALL DAY. It sucked. The game was on Fox, which luckily, we have a live feed of on our aircrafts. I started the day in West Palm Beach, Florida, Home of the Little Old Ladies with Bad Attidtudes. I got to New York well before game time, and there were no significant delays (for once). I was then supposed to go to Fort Meyers, Florida and back to JFK in NYC with no rest in between. The game started at the tail end of my flight to Fort Meyers.
I watched just about every pitch until we landed, and then I had to pretend to work again. Just as I was forced to sit in my seat, Barry was coming up. "Damn it!"
I told all of the Yankee fans on the flight to let me know on the way out what happened. They all left the plane with a smug look and told me that he grounded out.
As soon as we took off back to NY, I raced through handing out drinks and snacks, and resumed watching the game. I was making all kinds of announcements about how this was not going to end well for Yankee fans, and Barry is the man, and a bunch of other stuff.
Well, the moral of the story is that I taunted two planes full of Yankee fans about how much better the Giants are, and as we taxied in to the gate at JFK, Nasty Nate Schierholtz hit his flare into center for the win. I must have angered 50 Yankee fans with my fist pump and scream.
That was one of the more satusfying wins I have watched on TV in a while.
And then the Giants won the next day while I was in the center field bleachers. Thanks for the few bright spots you've given us this year Giants!
