VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG

Seriously, this will be embarassing if he is not starting in the All-Star game played at his home ballpark. Besides, he is having a good year at the plate (3rd in MLB in OPS, 1st among all MLB OFs). If those opinions don't sway you, then consider this: if he is not starting we will be treated to the usual anti-Bonds, moralizing media bullshit (look his hometown fans don't even like him, he is a cheater!!!!!1)

Do your duty:

You voted for BondsApologist?!  Duh! You totally missed the point of his post.

:-P

Despite having a "For Sale" sign stapled to his forehead, Ryan Klesko's OPS+ is 123 as of 6/25/07. (Platoon shmlatoon; it's 195 vs. LHP)

Re: VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG
When I saw the title of this diary I was all set to say that I didn't want any Giants to start the all-star game in the hopes that the current management would be embarrassed.  However, that part about the media is right on and therefore I have voted for Bonds four times as a result.

I think LaRussa or the players will name him anyway if he doesn't get voted in by popularity. I will do my part to vote for him as well.

Yes, he should be in the starting line-up whether the game is in SF or not. I voted around ten times until my eyes were getting blurry.

I just voted 10 times.  Do your duty everyone!  Show the rest of the country (including the media) that Bonds isn't as hated or disrespected as they want us to think that he is.

Do your duty as Giants fans, kids.  I have voted 50 times for me and my GF.  Yeah, it is super boring, but we need Bonds in there.

And remember:  don't vote for the guys ahead of Bonds in the voting and Bonds!  I am sure no one here would do that.  Right?

Re: VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG
ditto on checking off Molina's name as well.  Although I recently came to the conclusion that I'm perfectly fine if Bengie doesn't start, just as long as he gets into the game.

After all, he's got a much better chance of showing up for a clutch 2-out knock late in the game if he's pinch-hitting for one of the many players.

If he doesn't start it, I at least hope he finishes the game.  Same for Barry. If they don't get the accolades at the beginning, make sure they're on the field at the end.

He'll either be voted in by the players or selected by Larussa, but I voted the max 25 cause I would like to see him start.

Re: VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG
ok, just because he is fourth in voting doesn't mean he won't get in.  if he finishes in that spot, the NL manager will round out the team and he will definitely get one of the last spots.

also, if he is not a starter, then who ever is the starting left fielder should do what a-rod did with ripken in baltimore and give up his starting position spot.

Re: VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG
A-rod didn't give up his starting spot good buddy.  A-Rod was the starter at SS, Ripken was the starter at 3rd.  They just switched positions defensively.  I could be wrong though...

Re: VOTE BONDS FOR THE ASG
What does it say about the whole process when MLB allows, and frankly encourages people to vote more than once.

The whole thing is a farce, to drum up "excitement" for a game that was once declared a tie because there wasn't any players left on the bench.  Now it supposedly means something, and I'm as uninterested as I ever have been.

YAWN !

Tips and Trick
TIPS

You do NOT have to vote for every position.
You can skip the AL voting by clicking the link at the top of the page "SKIP TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE BALLOT"
use a fake email, or just use the email of the last piece of spam you got (before this one)

TRICK

Once on AL Ballot
Click SKIP to NL Ballot
Make Selection
Click VOTE
then ALT + LEFT ARROW
Repeat

It won't let you know when you have hit 25 vote per email address,

so when you think you have 25

click the vote again to see if you hit 25

It would be irrelavant if the all star game was a day game after a night game. Barry wouldn't play. I actually wish that not a single player on the Giants makes the team, although I know the rules prohibit that. The Giants' hierarchy deserve the humiliation.
