It will be very interesting to see if the Giants can get anything for him. And, assuming they don't, if he passes thru waivers and goes to Fresno. Yes, to hit 425 again.

Yep. He'll hit 10 homeruns his first month down there, and us fans will be deluding ourselves into thinking that he's finally gotten it and is ready to come back up and make an impact.

I remember when Niekro was sent down to Fresno at the end of last year: I had never seen a player be on a streak like he was. Everything seemed to be hit hard and I looked forward to his at bats. If he only could do that in the Majors...

I'm much happier to know that it was just Munter being called up since it's for two days and he was the freshest. It worried me to think that the Giants thought he was really the best reliever at AAA.
