Just have to say, I'm a grad student at UW. I saw Tim pitch several games here. A friend of mine grew up with Tim and played Little League with him. To hear this news now, I feel like Christmas has come early.

According to poster on Lefty Malo - http://www.leftymalo.com/2007/05/prephiew.php#comments - name of "bigO", bigO says that Lincecum was notified already and called his dad and best friend already.  Someone also noted that Lincecum is not on the Fresno roster either.  Who knows, maybe Frandsen and he are carpooling together up here from Fresno.

National TV for your first start against another great kid in Cole Hamels. Having to face Rollins, Howard and Utley in your first game. I'm nervous just thinking about it,so I can imagine how Tim will feel by game time. He can be forgiven if nerves get the best of him on Sunday.

Eh, that season had every warning sign you could ever imagine: old for his level, third year at AAA, disliked by scouts. I think Fred Lewis should have Linden's roster spot these days.

That's what I think when I hear Pedro up to bat and Jon says "that's a split finger low and outside." I keep waiting for him to say "and Pedro swings and misses," but i realize he means it was a ball.
