Thank Goodness for rain...

Ok, I might be the only one who feels this way, and by posting this diary I am running the risk of being called prejudiced or a racist or something like that, though I assure you, I'm not.

I am glad the Giants games were rained out yesterday, even though I love a twin billing. I just don't think its right for a Giants player, let alone Barry Bonds, one of the most prolific Giants players of all time to wear the number 42. Jackie Robinson was a great man both on and off the field, but he bled dodger blue; he retired instead of accepting a trade to the Giants for god's sake! I can appreciate that as a great sign of loyalty and love for a team that allowed him the opportunity to make history the way he did. The number 42 is drenched in dodger blue and I believe that in a tiny way for a Giant to wear the number spits in the face of a small portion of what Jackie Robinson was; A Dodger.

I don't know, maybe it wasn't coincidence that the Giants games were rained out. Regardless though, I can assure you that Robinson saw in terms of color, as do I; We both saw Orange and Blue and felt love for just one of them.

There, I said it.
