Hilarious Giants Commericial

I found this today when someone else linked me to it. It's from 2003 and I'd never seen it before so I thought I would share.

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
Thanks. Seeing Jose Cruz jr and Grissom again will for sure help me move my bowels in the near future. Too bad Ricky Ledee was not in that video too.

Grip was a good Giant while he was healthy.  Cruz Jr. on the other hand, does make me want to move my bowels.

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
Wow, you're taking me to "back in the day," as we used to say. Thanks to that commercial, "wheelin' it big" became THE phrase among the streetwise and hip-hop-centric in 2003. It totally blew up and shit. Puffy, Snoop, Ol' Dirty, Fresh Prince...they was all wheelin it big.
Never mind whatever I do!!! Fan is my tresure!!!

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
Yeah, I'd forgotten about those. Way better than the 'Grandma, come to the Giants game with me cause you'll spend more money than regualr fans and we can have a couple man sodas' bullshit they're running now.

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
Hey MCC, first time poster, long time lurker, but this clip brought back all sorts of memories, mainly of rage. If anyone can dig up more of these, I would appreciate it. My personal favorite from the 2003 season was the new player intros.
Fat Guy: "My name is..."
Durham: "ray"
Fat Guy: "I play by the bay!! (awkward pause) My name is..."
Moss: "damian"
Fat Guy: " The ace Australian!!"
God, I wish I had a Tivo back then. Although in retrospect, they have a certain charm, and certainly way better than last year's promos. I still wonder if Jessica Alba ever took that one meathead up on his proposal...

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
yeah, that one was my favorite commercial too. Does anyone have it?? I've seen this one before at youtube and also the one where he talks about being "husky."

A Series not equaled before or since
That greasy, hippy fatboy was comedian Matt Griesser. When he breathlessly danced "old school" with that ridiculous mascot, I think I laughed every time.

This series of 2003 TV commercials represented the franchise peak for the front office creative team, working with Sausage Films.

Funny that it followed the Giants' actual peak -- the memorable 2002 World Series was just a few months earlier.

Re: A Series not equaled before or since
yes, the dancing was the best one hands down.

why is it that the A's consistently have clever good commercials and the giants, well, don't.  eerily similar to the types of players we get.

how great was the one with eric chavez trying to play third base wearing his gold glove.  clank!

2002? I'm over it.

Re: A Series not equaled before or since
I would be thrilled if they brought back that one spot again this year.  Hell, just have the same guy come back and do a whole new series.  Best Giants commercials of the century.

Humm-Baby
A little off-topic, but that was my favorite ad campaign.  Anyone know where I can get an MP3 of that song/ad KNBR used to play?
OOOOOOOOOOH! REEEBAY!

Re: Hilarious Giants Commericial
the commercials now are just cheap, and most of them are the Fox Sports commercials that are the same for every team. I guess now that the Giants are no longer forfeiting their number one picks, they have slashed costs for advertising.
