Grant's Gift and Apology

Hi everyone,

At long last, Grant's holiday gift has been purchased. I apologize for the long delay and hope I didn't make anyone too worried.

Grant will receive:

$350 worth of Giant's gift cards good for merchandise and such fun things. (Grant, if you spend it on an Edgardo autographed ball, we will have words.)

A $340 donation is his name to the Giant's community fund, cause we're all do-gooders he at MCC.

Once again, I am sorry for the long delay and won't bother you with excuses about why. Thanks to everyone who gave money and participated, and of course:

Nice site Grant!

Re: Grant's Gift and Apology
Ah, lost it all at the tracks hoping to score big, and had to save it back up again the last few months.

It's cool. We've all been there.

Congratulations Grant
Did your plan of using sportsblogging to create your own cult of devoted followers to do your bidding  take as long as you thought?

Re: Congratulations Grant
This is Phase One. Phase Two begins with a hecatomb or two.

THAT was uncalled for
Now, don't be getting mushy on us.

(Just keep the site out of this and send E a Valentine, privately.)

Re: THAT was uncalled for
Yeah. Like those Vermont teddy bear commercials that keep playing on the Jim Rome radio show. Theme Teddy Bears at $100 a pop. Just what the country was missing.

My favorite is the Hannibal Lector bear, followed closely by Goldilocks and the three Hussein bears--Paper, Rock, Scissors or whatever the fuck his two dead kids were named.  The Charles Manson Family Bears rampage through Jellystone Park was one of my favorite Yogi Bear cartoon episodes. Especially when Booboo impaled himself on one of Sammy Sosa's exploding corked bats.

$350 can buy a lot of Mando Time t-shirts. Think about it.

Re: Grant's Gift and Apology
Yeah, I saw that, but I'm more than willing to set up some sort of trade. A jersey for a Mando? That would be a bargain!

Re: Grant's Gift and Apology
Just go to the Build a Bear shoppe at the Fan Lot. They have cows, right? Put a cow in a Giants jersey and you have instant Mando. Or is that an insult to our bovine friends?

I can't remember whether or not I was so worldly when I was twelve. Should he even know phrases like that yet?
