OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread

Here's some highlights for those Ninerheads that have missed the game so far...

Gametime weather: fair, no wind.

Vikings have ugly purple colored socks.

Andy Lee is a good punter.

That is all.

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
This has absolutely nothing to do with the Niners, or Raiders for that matter, and it's the playoffs. The AFC playoffs are going to be a minefield to make it to the Superbowl. With Patriots, Colts, Steelers and even Chargers.

LOL

Pretty much sums up the year.

Niners should just throw in the towel
Except that it would then be intercepted and run back for a TD.
Bochy: grounded until he stops hitting and running with slow runners and crappy hitters

Patrick Willis is by far the best football player we have.
Pedro Feliz: Marginally better this year.

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
The Niners are 3-9.  Alex Smith is probably out for the year.  Why start Trent Dilfer?  Go grab some arena league jerk and throw him in to see if he's the next Kurt Warner.
Here's to Kemp, Loney, LaRoche, Hu, and Kershaw not panning out.

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
I finished my international relations paper while watching the first half. I can't tell you what's more depressing: US foreign policy or the 49ers.
Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
US foreign policy doesn't have Patrick Willis. For me, at least, that is the difference maker.

Oh no, I have ninersnation bookmarked. I was just making a "link please?" joke because I see that request at least once a day across the net. I guess it would have hit better if I'd said "hyperlink plz" or something. I made a similar joke in the hotdog thread.

But thanks for the hl.

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
Shaun Hill seems like he might be better than Smith/Dilfer.  Call me a terrible person, but did anyone else not feel bad when Dilfer got nailed and had to be carted off the field?

Re: OT: Open Vikings:49ers Thread
I think Shaun Hill faced a Viking defense that was giving him everything he wanted up to 7 yards and didn't care about the sack. If you listen to his post-game interview, Shaun Hill thinks the same thing.

Based on today I absolutely do think that he looks like a guy I'd rather see play than Dilfer, but because of the circumstances of the game he came into and the defense he was facing, I still have serious doubts that he is any better than Dilfer. He missed pretty badly on a lot of his medium/deep routes, too.

We'll see next week. I imagine he starts.
