Boone to Nationals

More vet savvy off the shelf. I wouldn't have bothered posting such mundane news if I hadn't heard that he was apparently receiving "interest" from the Giants. Who knows if the rumors were true, but I'm starting to be more convinced that the commitment to a non-AARP roster is legitimate. Can I get an amen? Much rejoicing? A deep exhale?

But seriously..
I can see Sabean grabbing him and putting him at 3B if he weren't snatched up.  And clearly our deal would be for more money because he would consider himself the starter on our team.

I won'd believe it until the season starts
Its just too hard.

And that "riding with your drunk uncle over hwy 17" analogy on the main thread was awesome. Btw.

Re: Boone to Nationals
I read that as "Bonds to Nationals" for a second and was like "O_o".

Re: Boone to Nationals
Who really thought the Giants would waste their money on Boone when guys like Gonzo, Mahay and Steve Finley are still out there.  And if the Giants sign Mahay, the first newspaper reporter who calls him the May-Hey Kid should be tarred and feathered.
