Just move. You know all your friends are internet-based anyways. Don't try and act all popular and junk.

Actually sad as it may be, I'm actually underqualified for this job to begin with. I'd probably give it a shot anyway if it was in SF, but NY is the deal breaker for jobs I probably won't get called back on to begin with.

Rich Draper is my buddy. :(
Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.

I forgot the asterisks bolded things, which makes that post seem like I'm being a facetious douche, when in fact I was, for once, being an earnest douche.

Re: I Am Rich Draper, and So Can You!
It's all good anyway, cos thanks to Rich I got to kick it in the AT&T press box and meet cool and influential people. So I guess it all balances out in the end. :)

Actually, it's pronounced "Rich, D Raper".
Like a lesbian couple that's just a little too angry, I'm still waiting for my chance at adoption.

Re: I Am Rich Draper, and So Can You!
Just a note of whatever to anyone thinking about applying: The major sports league offices are notorious for underpaying their employees.  They seem to have the notion that sooo many people want to work for them and it's such an honor, that they don't have to pay anything close to a decent salary.

You might say, "But Goofus, it would be such a great experience, I'd be willing to gey bye on a lesser salary!"  To which I'd reply, "Hey asswipe, have you looked at the cost of living in Manhattan?"

Mrs. Goofus worked for the NFL in Manhattan for a few years in a "professinal" job and it was a harsh life trying to make ends meet in that environment.

McCovey Chronicles was better when mine was the lowest IQ on the board.

I like to think that at home, you refer to your wife as Mrs. Goofus.
Steve Kline: How okay is he, really? I would say he is pretty okay.

Re: I Am Rich Draper, and So Can You!
unless you are in your early 20s and mom and dad will help support you through this 6 month gig...i wouldnt even bother...even if you commute from jersey

in the age of the internet, not really sure why the job must be based in nyc

and ya, the mlb pays it employees like dirt

did you guys see that the yankee travel secretary was making 55k.....55k??? in a multi million dollar enterprise?? what a joke...and the gov expected him to report his tips???even with his tips, im sure he was barely breaking even

he needs to flip and give the gov arod on a roids rap

Re: I Am Rich Draper, and So Can You!
Are you talking about George Costanza?  Or was he just the assistant to the traveling secretary?
Rajai Davis: fast.

The assistant jeez he must be getting 40k or so.
