Re: Here's the Steroid List
I guess Canseco was right every player he named as possible is on this list. Clemens, Bagwell, and Boone.

LOL at Neifi Perez and Damian Moss.

Angel Joseph is just that a guardian angel.

I am not at all suprised about Bagwell and Bell, but Garciaparra is certainly new.

Re: Here's the Steroid List
I'm not particularly surprised by guys like Garciaparra, Wood, Mark Prior, and some other names of the like.  One of the reasons for using HGH is to recover more quickly from injury, right?  And these guys have all suffered injuries of various natures, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of them used for that very reason.

I think I'm mostly shocked by Wally Joyner being on the list.  That's a weird one.

I was holding out hope that Barry wasn't on the list.  This makes me sad.

I do find it interesting that ARod isn't.  Good for him.

Apparently WNBC is backing off this now, saying there are errors.  Nice going, jerks, hope you enjoy getting sued.

Re: Here's the Steroid List
Not surprised at any of this, but I LOL'd when my boss yelled out HEY CLEMENS IS ON THIS LIST.

LOL Pujols, though. I was so waiting for that. I'm having a hearty ROFL waffle at Varitek being on there. Red Sox fans will pull the head in the sand crap if I even tried to tell them to shove it, but I can have a hearty private laugh at their expense.

Damn, now I have to retract my LOL and my ROFL waffles. At least for now. I still think Pujols is/was using.

Re: Here's the Steroid List
I agree.  It seems like they should have investigeted players like Pujols/Helton who were accused at some point.  I doubt Mitchell and his band of merry jackasses ever even considered going after the "good guys".
Here's to Kemp, Loney, LaRoche, Hu, and Kershaw not panning out.

Who the hell is Paxton Crawford?  I have never heard of that person.

by out machine on Dec 13, 2007 9:44 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Re: Here's the Steroid List
Crawford is most remembered in Boston for suffering an unusual injury in July 2000 just prior to an expected recall to the Red Sox from their Pawtucket Red Sox AAA affiliate. A day after pitching a 7 inning no-hitter, he allegedly rolled off a hotel bed in Ottawa and landed on a glass that he had left on the floor. The injury required eight stitches.

Re: Here's the Steroid List
I'd tend to believe MLB officials who have actually seen the report over anonymous "sources" who typed up a list of "expected names."  Hell, you and I could have typed up most of those names and posted them as "names we expect to see."

The phrasing these jackals use is important.

Re: Here's a Steroid List (unofficial)
if I may suggest so, anyone with the power to should probably take down any posts/diaries/comments with that particular list on it, in an "abundance of caution," as WNBC put it. They're no longer standing by their list.

This list is bogus
I just downloaded the PDF of the report and did a search for some of the names in here (Pujols, Garciaparra) - they're not in there.

Albert Pujols is NOT in the report
I was a little disappointed, I admit, that he wasn't.  But he is not listed.

Re: Here's a Steroid List (unofficial)
Wow I am amazed at how many bad baseball players are on that list. God, I thought that steroids immediately made you the best baseball player ever. I guess I have a lot to learn.

Oh... somebody just told me it is the combination of  swing-aiding body armor and steroids that make you the best ever.
