Let's be positive!

  1.  I love that the Giants are going to have Cain and Lincecum in the rotation next year.  That means I have a 2/5th chance of watching an incredible pitcher when I go to the park.  Hell, I love Lowry too, that means I'm at 3/5th if he's not traded before opening day.
  2.  I love watching gamers play baseball.  Say what you want about Rowand but guys like him and Byrnes play the game the way it's supposed to be played.
  3.  Dude, it's baseball and it's almost pitchers and catchers.  That enough is awesome.
  4.  Even though it's just the beginning it rebuilding..we're finally rebuilding.  And the promise of what's to come excites me.
  5.  Eff you, you negative Nancys.  :P

Re: Lets be possitive!
No matter what happens during the offseason, I can't not be excited whenever Opening Day rolls around again. I mean, c'mon. It's baseball!

Yep.
Steve Kline: How okay is he, really? I would say he is pretty okay.

+ April 3rd.
Pedro Feliz: Marginally better this year.

I would like to agree with you on all counts, but you said something good about Eric Byrnes, and I can't subscribe to that. Everything else, I'll generally be on the boat eventually.
Dave Righetti: You Know You Want It. / Also, my blog. For writers.

Re: Lets be possitive!
I'll be "positive" when this team's line-up doesn't resemble a rotted block of swiss cheese.  Plus our upper minor leagues feature studs in their lower-to-mid-20's and not their upper-20's, lower-30's.

Opening Day has lost its luster since you literally have two or three games before the real opening day.  And the Reds don't open the season and you eventually have two games wiped out because of global warming...errrr...inclimate weather.

it's always noonan somewhere

Re: Lets be possitive!
I'll be positive even if our new Rowand-driven lineup doesn't pan out like it probably wont because it's baseball, and that means I don't have to resort to shudders hockey when I'm bored and need to root for somebody.

Here Is Something To Get Positive About!
Sabean will continue to pursue a contract with free-agent third baseman Pedro Feliz, not for three years, but perhaps for two.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/12/12/SP4ETSURO.DTL

Not only are Schierholtz, Lewis, and Ortmeier blocked in the outfield but Frandsen could join them in being blocked in the infield too.

Now if Sabean can also trade for a veteran to block Ortmeier and Schierholtz at 1B then Sabean's offseason mission will be complete!

Sabean will consider trading Jonathan Sanchez, other pitchers and younger outfielders to fill remaining needs - a third baseman, first baseman and relievers.

Re: Here Is Something To Get Positive About!
First Sabean said one year only. Now he's gone to two. Pedro is smart to wait him out. Next week Sabean will say he is willing to do 2 1/2 years and not one minute longer!! If Sabean is smart he will sign Morgan Ensberg or Dallas McPherson.
Bring me just about anyone, you moron Sabean!!

Re: Lets be possitive!
Hmmmmm....let's be positive. I'm positive that the Giants will finish 13th or lower in runs scored this year. I'm positive that I will never hook up with my high school dream girl, Andrea Crozier. I'm positive that the bad spelling here recently has begun to get on my nerves. And don't even start me on the grammar--hey, here's a new idea. Let's have a diary about grammar.
I got one word for you: "youneverknow"

Re: Let's be positive!
Eric Byrnes plays the game the way it should be played?  Played for who? TV Cameras? An audition for ESPN or Fox sports? Whoring it up for a media job is "playing the game the way it should be played?"  Puhhhhhhhhleeeeeeeeeze.  People who confuse false hustle for determination, and actual talent?  The guy runs like a ballerina. His ass clown dive into 1b to end the LCS was hilarious and righteously embarrassing to watch. Trying to create drama when there wasn't any. It wasn't going to be a close play. It was a routine out by 4 steps ground ball and he dives at the bag. Pathetic infantile gesture. Thats what losers do when they try to deflect attention away from the fact that they actually aren't very good. The only thing missing from his act is the organ grinder. the LA clubs and dropping a grand on overpriced champagne. He is Steve Lyons before Steve Lyons was finally released from MLB for the last time in 1993 after milking a career out to 9 years based on a couple of decent seasons.
