Re: cant
It sounds like Cantu is going to be signed by the Marlins last i checked.
Pedro Feliz: Marginally better this year.

Hmm
Maybe this diary should've been titled "Cantu tell me who you'd like to see invited?"

I like your list, although I'm not that interested in Scott McClain. Nice story, cool pop culture reference, but he's a tad older than the other folks on the list.

Re: Hmm
+1

I was glad to see him get some AB last year, but he didn't exactly set the world on fire.

a couple more
a couple guys who wouldnt look terrible at first base next year.  (if we have to sign a vet)
mark sweeney
brad wilkerson

i know shawn green has been mentioned as an option to be the lefty half of a platoon with aurilia, but even though sweeney is a righty id rather see him as a 1 year stopgap.  but it may just be left-over disdain from green's dodger days.
-as a side not im not actually excited about any of these options, its all relative.

Re: a couple more
Do you mean Mike Sweeney? Because we already tried the Marksperiment.

Re: a couple more
No thanks.  I would rather just go with Dan and Nate.

Don't know if it falls under S.T. invites but was hoping SF would look into Mark Prior and see if this is a possibility/feasible pick-up.

I somewhat doubt he'll be non-tendered, and I'm not too sure if we'd be able to deal for him.

I know the Padres were asking about him . . .who knows . . .

Eric Hinske might be the most intriguing name on this list, former rookie of the year... a younger, better, Rich Aurilia type... a move to the NL might revive his career.
Defender of Noah Lowry.

gettin' back on the juice might help his career too.

Re: I'm Bored; A list of S.T. invites i'd like to
His stats make his rookie year look juiced, but I still like him as a ST invitee. I'd be happy to see most of those other names too.
The only exceptions are Coskie & McClain.
