The Mitchell Report....Could be a great day for Giants fans.

According to the rumors. George Mitchell's report on steriods and baseball is due out this week, and this Giants fan can't wait to see it.

For years now, I as a giants fan  have been mocked by fans of other teams and the media because I supported Bonds. They called us blind sheep for cheering the man that was hitting so many HR's to help our team win games. Basically 756 should have been one of the greatest things I have witnessed in my life, but everytime I felt joy for this historic moment the media tried to make me feel guilty of my joy. They wrote hatefull after hatefull articles chastising Bonds, the fans and the city of San Francisco for enjoying our great moment.

I frequent other message boards, CBS and ESPN and have on many occasions have gotten into heated arguments trying to defend Barry as the morons just spew the hatred feed to them by the media. So when this report comes out, I hope I see a lot of familiar names in their. And then I can't wait for the hypocrites to try and back track on everything they said.

You see its easy to hate a man not on your team. Especially when the media has tried for 15 years to make the guy out to be a jerk. But if we see names like Pujols, Ortiz, Ramirez, etc. What will fans of those teams say.Honestly this fan can't wait to see. Cuz if I am right we will find out that steriods are much more rampant in baseball then just one man.

People don't change
When walking to a game alongside our friend the Mayor of 311 this past season, some shithead Padres fans were crowing about Bonds steroids this and Bonds steroids that. I just said, "Ken Caminiti" to them. The rebuttal? "...Giants suck!" Yes, the Giants do suck, sir. That I will not refute.

The point is these assbags who like to blame Barry for global warming, rape, and the fall of Western Civilization don't want to focus on the other names who used. It doesn't matter to them. Bonds is a big a-hole, therefore he is the only one villified. I don't expect the Mitchell Report to change that. Remember when the Grimsley HGH case broke and Pujols was linked to the whole thing via a trainer he had worked with? Nothing came of that.

They won't get their comeuppance as long as they have their hands over their ears screaming LALALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU.

Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.

Re: People don't change
Yeah thats true, so far we have heard of Glaus, Giambi, Sheff, Kaminti, Mcgwire and Canseco. All great players of the past 20 years linked to steriods. But all we hear about is Bonds.

But what I want to know is how many Rafeal Palmero types our in their. This was a guy no one thought was juicing.

I still think that beacuse this report is being done by, Bud's guy. That it will get much more ink in the press.

Re: People don't change
The amazing thing about Palmeiro is how quickly and violently Baltimore fans turned on him. I mean, I think they were wrong for it, but at LEAST I can never fault an Orioles fan for being hypocritical about Barry.

I can't say that about the rest of the league. Whose fans are both wrong and hypocrites.

Re: People don't change
There is some credit due, but I'd be interested if Baltimore fans would have reacted the same if he was actually still a good player at the time.

They signed him as a 40 year old free agent coming off one of the most consistent 10 year streaks ever. He had been a lock for 40 HR and 120 RBi's, but he fell off quite a bit his last two years in Baltimore. Granted he was 40, but sill I'm sure he was not a fan favorite those years.

I'd really be happy about some exoneration, but certainly that will be lacking from the report. I guess we have to settle for the "everyone was doing it" argument, of which I'm not really a big fan.
Bonds stands alone.

How about "all of the pitchers Bonds was hitting against were doing it"?  That certainly makes me feel pretty confident.

Re: The Mitchell Report....Could be a great day fo
That just recycles our whole "everybody is doing it arguement" .

The funny thing is about the everyone doing it comment is the Red Sox/ Patriot fans. I run into a lot of these morons on the other boards. They tell me the Bond's everyone is doing agruement is bullshit, but when I call them out on their Patriots and the "spygate" fiasco they claim, "well everyone in the NFL cheats" .

Honestly he most annyong fans on other boards are the Boston Red Sox fans.

Those pussies Pujols and Howard are hitting homers against non-juiced pitchers, it isn't fair.

Re: The Mitchell Report....
I think the Mitchell Report is going to make the Giants a contender...

There are no other current Giants that anyone can see getting popped for this right?  What if like 4 Padres, a key Rockies' player get popped and the league does something about it?  All of a sudden, the Giants "best" players (which is like saying the "smartest" retards in class) may stand up to fill-ins from the AAA.

Wait, the Giants best players are from AAA.

Wow, I am dreaming.

Neifi Perez is serving a 100-game suspension right now.  I wouldn't be surprised if frickin' Kruk and Kuip were doing PEDs between innings, at this point.

I'd be money that Edgardo Alfonso is named. He was on the Mets during the Kirk Radomski years, so it wouldn't surprise me.

you forgot A-rod.  I'll be friggin ecstatic if they release his name so Yankees fans and all other anti-Barry baseball who argue that A-rod will break the record without steroids won't have a reason to support him anymore.

Re: The Mitchell Report....Could be a great day fo
am no Bonds fan here, but if the Mitchell report
confirms widespread abuse (say 30-40% or more) then the prosecution of Bonds on this stuff will be a joke...

i heard the U.S. prosecutor in charge on KGO- Ronn Owens show a few weeks ago and he was practically giddy about the thought of nailing Bonds, so i think its safe to say there is an agenda there... i'll never be a fan of Bonds again, but dont like to see someone singled out as scapegoat...

Re: The Mitchell Report
I doubt any big names will be listed, and there is zero chance the Mitchell report will suddenly cause an outbreak of rationality among the baseball punditry.

I'd really like to be wrong, though.
