Nah, I was just joking around. I don't have a very high tolerance for talk of Zito trades or A-rod signings, so when they come up I either ignore them, joke, or have a hissy fit.

The Yankees are angry at ARod for opting out, and the last thing they want to do is help some other team sign him. They're not taking Zito off of the Giants' hands. If you COULD trade him, I would look to the Mets. Tom Glavine has left, and both El Duque and Pedro Martinez are not going to make it through next year without injuries. They could use Zito, and the Giants should consider eating dollars to get it done.

Heh. Can you imagine Zito having the kind of year he had this year in New York? Christ, he would have been dead by June! Or at Bellevue...

Zito is not going to be traded. Just think, if you were another GM, what incentive would you have to take on that contract, unless the Giants paid it? And they ain't gonna do that.

I didn't know Cain only got $700k. That poor kid must be so steamed, thinking that Ray Durham gets nearly ten times the salary. I can imagine he's already checking Porsche's catalog of upgrades and the real estate in various parts of the country, thinking of his next contract negotiation.
