I haven't posted here in a while, but still checking in every day (especially on the road). Anyway, as I've said many times I don't know 1/4 as much as the brainiacs on this site, so I wanted to ask a question. There's been a lot of trade talk here lately and my question is which teams are the most desperate for pitching, and of those teams which has the best haul?
Beyond sugar plums of Cabrera, etc. it seems like the best Giants trade is likely to happen later on when all the crap free agent pitching is signed.
The Mariners are pretty hard up, and there's been a great discussion about them. But the Phillies, Mets and Brewers could all use some help (esp. Phillies & Mets with Glavine gone and Lohse probably leaving). Seems like the Tigers and White Sox have enough money into other players that they might want to shore up the pitching a bit. Any other teams that could contence but are in need of some pitching (maybe the Cubs?) and of those teams, who has a young hitter we could get? C'mon Dr. B, I know you have all of this memorized...
