Giants get no respect

I know this is just silly stuff, but over at MLB.com's Hot Stove report they can't even get the Giants names right. Evidently Russ Ortiz has changed his name to "Ramon" and Omar Vizquel has been transformed into "Vizcaino." How do the people working on this website keep their jobs?

Re: Giants get no respect
Vizquel's name was written correctly.  Maybe you saw Luis Vizcaino who's right above Omar on the list.

Re: Giants get no respect
Read Vizquel's write-up, it's a repeat of Vizcaino's.
Fool me seven times, shame on you. Fool me eight or more times, shame on me.

Re: Giants get no respect
With the exception of Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain, how many Giants truly deserve much respect?  :)

Re: Giants get no respect
The write-up for Rudy Seanez was messed up too:

"He's 37 and finally looked like it in 2007. His average dropped 105 points and the slugging percentage plunged 219 points from the year before. His RBIs went from 48 to 18. He was once one of the most feared pinch-hitters in the league, but it just wasn't there for him last season."

I'm pretty sure that was meant for Olmedo Saenz.  Morons.

Or as I like to call him:  Tomato Heinz.
I'd kick more tires if I weren't so hamstrung.

Re: Giants get no respect
Respect is not something you get but earn. A last place team that has not been to the playoffs in awhile is going to have to earn its respect.

Respect Shmeshpect, editors should have caught these blunders before it was posted.

Re: Giants get no respect
Since the Vizquel description was obviously meant for Luis Vizcaino, the only issue there is calling Russ Ortiz "Ramon." I would say that would be a lack of respect for Russ Ortiz more than it is for the Giants.

Re: Giants get no respect
eh, the journalist decided the mail the article in...it happens, just look at SportsCenter.  Every other day they seem to screw something simple up.  eight years ago, that never happened.

real reporters +10, espn's merry band of wanna-be's -9

Re: Giants get no respect
Over at Fire Joe Morgan, they noted an NFL second-half prediction by Jeffri Chadiha of ESPN that, if you add up all the records, predicts the NFL will go 262-250 against itself the rest of the year.

So yeah..."mailed in" is actually a charitable way to put it.

SJ Giants, 2007 Cal League champs! Couldn't have done it without the All-Father.
