It's two in the morning... and...

I cant stop scouring the internet for new Giants news.

Interest in A-Rod? (I can see the ESPN title now, "Bay-Rod")

Lowry traded?

Cabrera to the Giants?

Lincecum walks on water, saves 1,000 kittens from drowning, and liberates Tibet?

I think it's becoming a trend for me, I focus more on off season moves and rumors than I focus on the actual season. And I watch/listen to every game. This is bordering on pathetic. My room mate, (a dirty, dirty Pirates fan) tells me that when something happens, I'll hear. I can't seem to live with that.

Is it because the Giants stink so putridly? (Haha, I thought for sure I'd get red-lined on that one)

Any one else feeling like I am? Any suggestions? I've tried a hammer to the head, and I'm reluctant to get back into crack. (Just kidding. About doing crack. Getting back into it I mean. I've never done it.)(Swear)

Probably not. Haha.
Angel Villalona: A younger, better hitting Pedro Feliz. Rajai Davis: A younger, better everything Dave Roberts.

I think you should consider the bear hibernation type thing and emerge in Aparil. Seriously, I'm the same way as you, except my thing is year round, and I'm not more interested this time of year, I'm about the same. Sometimes I wonder how I'm going to make it all the way through to the start of next season.

Given the awe and wonder that was last season I'm certain many can easily remove "to the start of" from that last sentence.

Awe and wonder?!?

Don't you mean "shock and awe"?

Screw the Giants, but not Omar. I'm getting drunk and watching some footy.

I'd start by going to sleep. My next step would be to buy a Wii.

And hookers. Hire full-time hookers. They'll keep you distracted.

Re: It's two in the morning... and...
I've been doing the exact same thing, and it's starting to piss me off.  I think it's because I haven't watched a Giants game in a little more than a month now.  It's like some sort of drug addiction...

Re: It's two in the morning... and...
We tivo all giants games, this year I kept 4 of them for those days when baseball  withdrawal symptoms occur [Barry tying the HR record, Barry breaking the HR record, Barry's last home game, and the last game of the season vs the doogers]

And yes, I check yahoo, mlb, giants.com and here 3-4 times a day to see if anything's happened yet.   As hubby says... It's like Christmas for grown-ups:  Will Unka Brian give us socks and underwear? or will he break the bank and buy us something really cool?

...and so we wait...

A couple of my friends have Google news alerts set up for their e-mail/phones. Perhaps that would set your mind at ease.

As for me, I tend to spend my winters focusing a little more on listening to music and playing guitar, but I'm still pretty obsessive about checking trade rumors and whatnot.

Wow has the way the game is covered changed
and for the better. Back in the day all we had was the newspaper and about 3-5 minutes of sports on the news. With the advent of cable tv, sports radio and now the internets it's a sportsapalooza 24/7! Check Rotoworld, then SFGate, now to FoxSports, back to the lastest news of RotoWorld. Maybe ESPN got the scoop first, nothing there? Go to MLB.com or maybe the LATimes.com. I know there is Giants news breaking right now somewhere. Thank God for McCoveyChronicles.com. I feel better already.

Re: It's two in the morning... and...
A couple nights ago I dreamed that the Giants traded Lowry for Miguel Cabrera.

So yeah, I'm probably pretty obsessed.

Steve Kline: How okay is he, really? I would say he is pretty okay.

Re: It's two in the morning... and...
I have internet on my cell phone and I'm always checking rotoworld for hot stove updates. I've started to notice that two seconds after there is Giant news, somebody starts a thread over here, so I do alot of checking here too. Imagine how bad we would have it if the Giants actually did something that got us excited!!
