I can see them attempting to deal for Johan Santana because he's the best, but what do they need Noah Lowry for?? As for signing ARod, Boras was saying that he expected Andruw Jones to be a better fit for the Dodgers than ARod, so I think they don't expect the Dodgers to be major players in the ARod game. I wouldn't put much stock in what Joe Torre says at a New York charity function. He probably just wanted to throw something in the Steinbrenner's face about his team signing ARod and Bernie Williams.
