Mr. Velez is starting to intrigue me. I know, I know, you can't steal first base. But damn! When the guy does get on, it's pretty much automatic that he's in scoring position. This may change in the day-to-day of the bigs, but he seemed to handle it pretty easily at the end of the season. And now, while representing us in the odd "rising stars" game in the AFL - we're in the east? - he managed to single and swipe two bases in his first appearance.

The BTF projections have him as a very good OF, but a poor 2b. That's what he's working on in the AFL. Strikes out too much...
