I Posted this elsewhere
And, I am nowhere near being a doctor.
I apologize in advance if I missed removing any swearing.

Morris IMPLODES towards the end of the year, and makes everyone wonder WHY IN THE HELL DID WE GIVE HIM $27 Million????
I have to believe that the Giants knew they were overpaying and they knew exactly what they were getting. They were getting a HAS BEEN ACE, who had undergone Tommy John in 1999 and come back with dazzling results. And then in 2004 something was wrong.... he had his worst season of his career and noticeably lost velocity on his fastball....Following the 2004 season he underwent shoulder surgery. Now when talking about Shoulder Surgery, you are talking a pitchers worst nightmare.... For everything that modern science has been able to do for the Elbow, they have NOT been able to do for the Shoulder. Now, in Morris' case we are talking about working in the Shoulder Socket itself, and not the dredded Rotator Cuff.. but it still gives pitchers and GM's the willies.
So Following Morris Shoulder Surgery (Labral Debridement) he was given a clean bill of health and pitched somewhat successfully in 2005. He had a couple of good months, but the velocity never came back.....
So you say "Hell, 2005 Morris??? That sounds great... what happened??......"
Well, its hard to say for sure but one thing sticks out....
In 2005, LaRussa held Morris to a well publicized and strict pitch count of 100, and Morris only threw as many as 104 pitches ONE TIME all regular season.......
In 2006, with Morris on no pitch count, hit or surpassed 104 pitches 19 times... that's NINETEEN TIMES......
Add to that the extra mileage a curveball puts on an arm compared with the fastball....
Add to that the degenerative nature of the Shoulder procedure (see below)....
Add to that his fine line of failure versus success with diminished velocity......
I DONT THINK IT SHOULD SUPRISE ANYONE that MORRIS HAS IMPLODED over his last 5 starts of the year......BALOONING his ERA from a decent 4.47 to a Tomko Like 5.07.......
Yes, so MORRIS the JERK.....has given up 28 runs and 14 walks in his last 5 starts thereby killing any chance the Giants had at the postseason.....
Labral Debridement
I am not an expert, but I know enough about medicine to understand than Debridement is the term used when speaking about the removal of tissue.
Pic of procedure

Click here for article from American Journal of Sports Medicine
Arthroscopic labral debridement was assessed at a minimum of 2 years (average, 43 months) postoperatively. Overall, only 7% of the patients had significant symptomatic relief at followup. However, 72% noted relief of symptoms during the 1st year after surgery, but there was deterioration over time. Conclusion: Arthroscopic labral debridement is not an effective long-term solution for symptomatic relief in the overhead athlete (that means PITCHERS)
(please note: merkin's opinions on pitchers injuries are based upon what little medical reading he has done and on anecdotal evidence he has obtained by following baseball the last 20 years)

I think its represents the shoulder socket of someone who has been called a "vulva."

C'mon, the Swedes make perfectly fine cars. And safe, too. I don't see what your problem is.

Do IT
Morris has said several times that he is not content with his performance this season.
Congradulations on leading the league in losses. If you were really concerned about how your season has effected the team, give some of that money back asshole.
With a 10/15 record on a 27mil/3yr contract, we are paying 360000 per decision. The Giants have paid Morris $5,400,000 in losses this year. If he really wanted to be a mentor, he'd give that money to Cain, or some kind of "don't suck at life charit fund".
