Wow, I've been posting a lot of these things lately, don't worry, I'm sure it will soon end and you will all be spared from my useless pratling...but until then!

I was always a big supporter of the Niekro though I suppose most Giants fans are not (with perfectly good reason as he did not produce at the plate when he was in the majors). Anyway, I am less than thrilled with Hillenbrand as in his short time he has put up Niekro like numbers (I would like last nights homerun stricken from the record as it came with the bases empty in a game we were already winning by three runs even though as it turned out we needed almost all those runs to win the game, at the time of the homerun being hit made me do a little woopty-sh*t dance in my head. Anyway, I know Sabean has talked about locking up Hillenbrand past this year which I'm against just as I was against signing Winn past last year and he was god-like during that stretch. So here's the question...Given Niekro's offensive absurdity in his short AAA stint, I think its like 9 homeruns in 15 games with an above .300 avg, do the Giants give him one more go around next season as the starting first baseman or do they look to Hillenbrand or someone else outside of the orginazation? I think that beyond Shea the crop of free agent firstbaseman is fairly slim soooo...my vote is for Niekro even though I think the orginazation has now forever labeled him as the second coming of Damon Minor...who I also liked...maybe I just like losers...but then why do I hate Benitez oh so much!? ranting now...ok  bye.

one more thing, why doesnt good ol' Felipe "I swear i'm awake" Alou try, for the love of all that is holy moving Winn out of the leadoff spot, In my opinion someone batting .260 something with avg at best OBP has no business being the leadoff guy! Not that I dislike Winn, I think he is just miscast.
