Okay, Let me lay this straight. I checked into Hennessey's periphs on BP and there's no way this dude is going to stick as a starter. I checked into Correia's numbers and they are pretty damn good.
Now, here's the deal. Having seen Correia start, I think he's a born reliever. He could be that guy in the bullpen who isn't the closer, but we bring in when the game is actually on the line. Like Eyre last year.
One thing, though. Usually for a reliever to be effective at sort of thing he has to be pretty good at holding runners on. I confess I never really pay any attention to that. Can anyone tell me if he's got the knack?
