For All You Dodger Sweaters Out There

Since the AS Break:

  • The Dodgers are 1-13
  • Have been outscored 29-81
  • Have scored or 3 or less runs 12 times in 14 games
  • Been shutout 3 times
  • While Brad Penny has tried to throw Kenny Lofton under a bus for defensive miscues.
  • I'd like to sum by saying....  all of you who have been blowing the Dodgers' this year.... NEVER RESPECT THE ENEMY.  And do some research before you proclaim a team, "ELITE".

Please use thread to post derogatory comments about Dodgers.  Thank you.

A Dodger sweater.  Not to be politically incorrect, but doesn't that sound kind of gay?

Haaa, well I have no reason to be kind to people who give respect to the Dodgers.

Great point, sir.  NEVER give them more credit than they deserve.  I love to see them take the plunge like they have.  outscored 28-91? That's amazing!

I for one, was shocked at the amount of Dodger fluffing that was going on here earlier in the year.

As was I, as was I.

Thus, neccesitating this post at our time of Giants disillusionment.

I like schadenfreude as much as the next guy. But the prospect that the Giants might be spared from finishing last in the division by a sucktastic Dodgers performance...it just isn't much comfort right about now.

I still am more worried about the D'Backs. They are 2 1/2 games back and have won 6 of the past ten. They have Brandon Webb. They seemed to be past the Jason Grimsly fiasco.

Re: For All You Dodger Sweaters Out There
I just wanted to say that while we're all overjoyed to see the Dodgers flailing, and happy to see you point it out in glorious detail, I think the swipe you take at the poster who called the Dodgers an elite team is uncalled for.

You tell him to "do some research", but I happen to recall that the poster in question is David (DeadTeddy8), who along with Martin (obsessivegiantcompulsive) does some of the most detailed research of anybody on this site, always backing up his opinions with stats to support his case. I wish every poster on this site (myself included) did the kind of homework he does before spouting forth their opinions. At this point it looks like David was incorrect with his pick that the Dodgers would win the NL West this year (along with myself, Grant, several major publications, websites, and people on ESPN), but lack of research certainly was not his failing.

Personally, I'm thrilled to see it appears I was wrong about LA. I hope that trend continues because whether they are winning or losing, we all know the Dodgers will always suck.

Well, David isn't the only person on this website that does research and knows minor league systems and scouting reports and EQA and VORP and BABIP and all that other crap.  And I gotta tell ya, sometimes, I'm amazed at his conclusions.  But that's the beauty of baseball - it's all in the eye of the beholder.

The swipe was minor, and I'm not really sure its necessary for you to stick up for him.

The point of the whole post was... the Dodgers suck.  I've believed that for some time, but let's face it, a lot of people here believed the Blue Dream.  And I'm not really sure why.

In either case, with our team flailing about like a bunch of obese crackheads, I wanted to point out that.... the DODGERS SUCK.

I never said he was the only one who did research, just that he's one of the more detailed. And I definitely didn't say I agree with his conclusions all the time. In fact, I rarely do. But when I disagree, I don't pull BS statements out my ass, like "do some research".

    Don't get too happy
You might un-jinx them and LA could wind up winning the division.

And if you throw at his head and miss, Nick, you can always blame it on Omar being out of position.

And Losing, did you accidentally leave out a word after "...blowing the Dodgers' "??  Like "horn" or something? 'Cause if not, I'm not sure how to interpret that.

Waiting for Travis, Nate, Marcus, and Nick P.

Have you seen West Hollywood lately? I'm sure there have been people "blowing the dodgers." It would be hard to all the way from San Francisco though.
