Barry Near A Noose, but Let's Enjoy What's Next

It's warm and getting warmer for Barry. But beyond Bonds, the future of the MLB and federal investigations will bring:

  1. A Bevy of the Obviously Guilty,
  2. A Flock of the Probably Guilty, and a
  3. Thundering Herd of the Possibly Guilty.
Because fuzzy gray lines will separate the future multitudes to be implicated, it would be a Fool's Mission to attempt some sort of punishment or prosecution.

The unfortunate current exception is Barry, who is dodging a possible perjury charge relating to steroids.

For the rest of baseball, a strict steroid ban going forward is the only remedy to this decades-long mess.

But the investigations underway will help steer the focus away from "Just Bonds" and bring us refreshing headlines and high entertainment relating to the other sinners in this drama.

Re: Barry Near A Noose, but Let's Enjoy What's Nex
There is no reliable test for HGH. By the time there is one, new masking agents will be in place.  This shit of one sort or another has been going on forever.  I don't give a shit one way or the other if they use peds, hgh or coat their contact lenses with vicks vap-o-rub.  CSI wannabe IRS agents neck deep in parking lot dumpsters full of piss vials and gauze pads. pussy reporters breathlessly describing in excruciatingly gossipy detail, personal pecadillos of people we only know through tv or radio or the bleachers. fuck sakes--gimme the oj trial reruns, the chase up the 405. anybody find sondra levy's killer yet?  how's scott peterson doing these days?  gimmee the latest on grade school teachers gone wild. hey, i heard a rumor a congressman used the n word in 1974 and the opposing party is demanding a special prosecutor.

by next fucking season we'll be breathlessly informed of MLB players actually going to keggers before they were 21, loitering, littering, and munching plugs of redman while in high school.

motherfucking do-gooders.

one big fucking oprah springer geraldo telethon with POTUS "What Me Worry" grandstanding this shit in the state of union address.  Inbred motherfucker so concerned about saving children how about he shag his sorry ass in front of a grand jury under oath and spill his guts under penalty of perjury for snortin' enough blow to cover Squaw Valley. i can't even start on temporary commissioner for life Cal-Worthington-Glenn Hartzheim-Putnam Buick Selig, other than he needs to be bitch slapped until his toupee comes uglued and his dentures break on the marble floor of his vomitorium

fuck em all where they breathe...with a napalm blow torch.

that the sorry ass giants, even with hgh, can't hit the pirates has left me really pissed off, pissed on (fuck you moises) and pissing up a rope when it comes to any belief that these limp-dicked millionaires know what to with their louisville sluggers other than shove it up their collective asses.  they should burn those fucking pieces of balsa wood and sacrifice them on the altar of Jobu.

Well, enough of that... I'm going to hijack the local good-humor man's truck and start peddling anabolics, hgh, crack, meth, blow, weed and jack daniels to all the little heathens in the neighborhood who are tired of 50/50 bars and nut-infested ice-cream samiches.

i'm thinking this will go over pretty good, and hope to open a concession out in left field next to the kiddie-diamond next year.  afterall bonds won't be around, the giants will suck worse, and a new theme concession booth sounds like a pretty good idea to keep asses in the seats and the revenue stream flowing.

He blames Tomko and I blame Magowan, Alou, Morris, Benitez, El Dopo and a player to be named sooner rather than later.

I agree with everything you said. Except for the parts I couldn't understand.

"a strong ban on steroids"?

what's the point....ped's are here to stay

they have a strong ban in the olympics, but if you think that there still arent athletes in olympic sports that still are using them, then I have a bridge over the bay to sell ya.

baseball should just put into place the phony ban that the nfl has....pretend that no one is doing them...and lets get back to playing the game

Undetectable HGH is one thing....

But when a Grimsley is booted out of the league without legal due process, that's starting to get pretty strong.

legal due process?
Grimsley asked for his release and was granted it. How exactly is that getting booted out of the league?

Re: legal due process?
Grimsley apparently trumped Kendrick's move.

Maybe a  team takes a chance with the hot potato that is Grimsley. But Ken Kendrick's extended comments yesterday show his holy mission is to retire Grimsley for good.

Another side effect could be
that if they keep finding lames that can't pass the test (Ryan Franklin, Alex Sanchez, Jason Grimsley), perhaps the furor will die down about .0000000000000 (uh, more zeroes)000001%.

At least people should see by now that PED's don't guarantee the player gets any better.

Re: Another side effect could be
It could also mean that PEDs did well enough to get them to the MLB when they couldn't have done it without.  PEDs don't guarantee that you will become a star is probably the safer statement to make.

I'm right there
PEDs have not made my stuff good enough for the Washington Post to notice me yet.

So I'm starting another cycle today.

(My bulked-up fingers are getting a little wide for this keyboard, though.)

Re: Another side effect could be
Or it could mean that PEDs hindered thier chances of becoming all-stars.

Because there is no control experiment.

no control experiment.

"steroid controversy"

physiology, kiniesiology, pharmacology = hard science

hard science says inconclusive

cheating, IRS, mass media = science fiction

science fiction says children must be saved from barry bonds

radical religous fanatics say martyrs are promised 72 virgins.

e points out however, that all promised virgins are on government pensions
