Big game tonight. Let's hope that Cain starts off the season on the right foot: throwing heat, getting K's, and keeping the Braves' big guns inside the yard.
Especially with Lowry going to the DL, we really need Matt to step it up. Even if Noah comes back in a couple of weeks, it's hard to tell how long it will be before he gets his feel back on his pitches. 15 wins out of Cain this year would be sweet, but we especially need him to step up right now. Let's hope he can do it.
One more thought for tonight: I'd like to see Bonds hit the ball with some authority. Peeps over at ESPN are talking about how Bonds can hardly move right now. I feel like this mainly just some gossip that one guy said and everyone else picked up on it... that's really common among these writers. That being said, I'd feel better if Bonds went back to his preseason form of hitting the hell out of the ball. It has been so much fun watching Bonds hit over the last decade and I'm not ready for him to be finished being superman. Along similar lines, I wasn't ready for Montana or Rice to drop from peak form either. If Barry does start smashing, I intent to appreciate every second of it...
