All right, we all love Jason Schmidt, and if you don't go buy yourself something blue, however Schmidt has struggled mightely to get past the fifth inning. However during each of his outings he's flashed that brilliance thats endeared him to us over the last few years. We all also agree that Benitez may or may not be the unholy one himself, Satan. My question is (after this fairly long preface) how does everyone feel about the notion of trying Schmidt at closer once Lowry comes back? or is it too early in the season to resort to something so drastic? We all saw what a move to the backend of the bullpen did for someone like Gagne, why not schmidt?
