Farm Update

Milb.com posted an interview with Jack Hiatt, Giants farm director.

Some highlights:
--He suggested Merkin Valdez will stick in short relief, but the Giants are willing to have him fill in as a starter if that's where the need is in the bigs.
--EME is healthy and hitting well in minor-league camp. Asked whether EME will play first, Hiatt described EME's position as LF/1B.
--Marcus Sanders is throwing well after off-season surgery and is expected to go to the Cal League this year.
--Jon Sanchez is impressing everyone in camp and may start the year in Double-A.
--Nate Schierholtz has a plus-plus arm and a beautiful swing.
