Non-Giants League News 12/13
My list of non-tenders I want signed:
Jerome Williams, Toby Hall, and Jason Bulger.
Baseball America will resume it's top ten prospects in January.
BP's Kevin Goldstein has the Met's top 10.

He also ranks the best Met's players 25 and younger, with Reyes ahead of Wright. Who would you rather have? I am torn, but might go with Wright because he has less injury history.

Re: Non-Giants League News 12/13
It just went from being like the girl who is only with you because she doesn't want to be single to being the girl who is only with you because she hasn't gotten the offer yet from that guy you hate. You know all those times you had sex, she was only thinking of him.
It was bearable when I could be mad by pretending that he just never cared. This, though, this hurts. Now I know his heart, at least some small incontrovertible part was never in it, was always pulling for the enemy.
Well, Jason, by the terms of my simile I'm glad we'll never have sex again. And I was thinking of Lowry the whole time, anyway. So there.

But you see, the guy was exactly the jerko I always knew he was. He knocked her up then got thrown in jail, the bum. She had the kid but soon fell into a downward spiral. Got into drugs, gave the kid up to her parents and last I heard, she's homeless and he's still a bum.
Me, I have a new girlfriend and everythings just peachy. Good luck Jason.

Now for something completely different
When Detroit Tigers pitcher Joel Zumaya was benched during October's American League Championship series with inflammation in his right arm, Tigers Athletic Director Kevin Rand theorized it was because the pitcher was "playing in different times now, different weather." Turns out the actual problem was not different weather but a different game -- specifically, Guitar Hero.
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Tigers manager Dave Dombrowski told WXYT-AM yesterday that Zumaya's injury recurrence came from excessive virtual guitar shredding, not from excessive baseball throwing. Once the Tigers training staff realized the injuries were "more consistent with the action of a guitar player than a baseball pitcher," Zumaya stopped playing the game and recovered in time to pitch in three World Series games.
We can't help but question Zumaya's priorities here. While pitching in the World Series is important, think of the damage done to Zumaya's Guitar Hero career during this hiatus. We can only hope practice and hard work during the off-season will bring him back to top shredding form.

More than a feeling?
I swear that game is the most fun thing ever. I usually get bored watching people play video games but I never get tired of watching my friends rock out to Guitar Hero.
