Nate Heating Up

Finally. 3-5 with a 2B and HR.

There's even a link to watch his HR. It was a beauty.

Go Nate, Go.

Re: Nate Heating Up
Just his traditional first two weeks 0-fer? He does seem to enjoy getting to know new leagues sans hits.

Re: Nate Heating Up
I bet he got hot after eating poi and chasing it with Mai Tais

Re: Nate Heating Up
Eating poi... is that what the kids are calling it these days.

Re: Nate Heating Up
Maybe even more exciting than Nate heating up is what Frandsen and Sadler are doing in the AFL. Sadler has yet to give up a run with 3 saves 12 K's in 7 in. only 2 BB to go along with an AFL pitcher of the week award and Frandsen is hitting up near .400 with a couple of homers 5 SB 7 BB 3 K.

Lewis is looking pretty good as well coming back from an apparent injury.

on another note for another thread...

Re: Nate Heating Up
the game was on tv last nite, and dumb me forgot to tape it....nates dad would appreciate if anyone has it taped or teevoed to contact him, which you can do through me

i saw most of the game, nate has gotten bigger since being at sj, he has grown a goatee too, which makes him look a bit meaner

his dad reports that part of his early probs were due to his suffering from some minor back pain and getting used to the asian junk ball pitchers

btw, with the bochy hire, watch for nate to get traded

Re: Nate Heating Up
Yea, I heard about the trade rumor from Nate's Dad, too.  I'm not happy about it...I'd rather keep Nate.

That's the first chance I've had to see the swing, and wow, what a change.  He's still got that open stance, but remember when people complained about a hitch in his swing?

That, there, was a hitchless swing.  The bat went straight into the swing, and his batspeed is as good as ever.

The Giants would be foolish to trade him.

Re: Nate Heating Up
Before I get called on it...yes, I'm intentionally exaggerating about 'hitchless'.

But it's a lot less than what he had in SJ last year, and it's a lot smoother.  Loving it.

Vai Schierholtz
I wouldn't put too much stock in what Nate's dad says about trades.  He's a Bum fan and has been rooting for Nate to get traded ever since he signed with the Giants.  Vai is a pretty talkative guy.  No way would the Giants tip their hand to him or Nate before making a trade.

Re: Vai Schierholtz
Whew, thanks Doc. That rumor really had me rattled. So how did he attribute the rumor? Have the Bochy and Schierholtz clans been feuding for centuries? I mean, how does the hiring of one guy lead to the trading of a AA player, anyway?
Waiting for Nate, Marcus, Nick, & Emmanuel

Re: Vai Schierholtz
He told me about the rumor (I wonder if it was the same one) long before the Bochy hiring, so I doubt it has anything to do with that.

I was assuming the trade was more likely now that the Giants had a manager in place.

Bacci - did he tell you Nate + Pitching Prospect for Sexson?

Re: Vai Schierholtz
Thanks, Brute. Tell me again where/for whom you write - I'd like to read some of your stuff.
